He is such a geniune, sensible and well articulated person. Completely real and honest in his opinions.Despite giving his best work he still wants to learn and grow in his personal and prodessional life. A true gem in the industry. Really nice conversation from both sides

Omg I seriously have listened Ishtiaq Ahmad's name on any platform for the first time. I've read his novels since I was 13 and now I'm 20. My mother told me about his spy novels in summer vacation and there was no turning back for me . Nobody my age knew about him. None of my friends wanted to read them , bcz they were in Urdu idk y any kind of Urdu literature is so underrated in gen Z . Those novels are so so precious. They teach u about morals, family values, being patriot , love Islam, being spontaneous and to respect and be proud of your language. My Urdu improved immensely after reading his novels for yearsss. I litrelly consider them a must for early teens those novels groom you in such a beautiful well behaved manner. They can teach you how to stay focused ,observe minor details and use them in Ur defense and they sharpen Ur mind so beautifully . Agh I'm so happy to hear about Ishtiaq Ahmad and his novels inspector Jamshed series, Kamran Mirza series and shokky brother series and uff those immensely thrilling khas numbers. Uff I don't even know why am I this emotional 😂😂. May be bcz no one around me was interested in them and I had nobody to talk abt them for years . I'm so relieved that if not this gen Z but the elder ones really recognise him and his novels. But anyways just by mentioning his and his novels name u just made my day Rabia api. And such a great interviewer u r so composed and sensible. Stay blessed . Love Ur work. 💗

I totally agree with Sarmad on the writers thing. One great example is This Is Us (the most wholesome family show ever) they have so many writers probably more than 20. I have thought about it many times. Pakistani Television and Film needs multiple writers to improve the stories and the screenplays.

Very very interesting interview! Sarmad Khoosat, a very knowledgeable and an evolved person has expressed his ideas very effectively …his idea of having more than one script writer makes a great sense…in this way , it can be a good amalgamation of different ideas and personalities. He is truly very passionate about his craft and one feels , that he wants to take the drama industry to another heights….Rabiyaji, is very graceful , and as usual, makes the interview very enjoyable!

For 1:09:55, I want to share my favorite poem by Maki Kureshei. A perfect reflection of what Sarmad Khoosat is talking about, here I am sharing the poem named LABURNUM TREE(Amaltas Tree) This is not your season Splotched by passing tucks and slapped By brutal winds, your branches are Inhospitable to birds. Winter Plucks you to a spare Rattle of twigs. ’Dead’! think passersby; Not suspecting when April begins cautiously to unwind tendril and modest bud, that every branch will hang blossoms like a thousand chandeliers opulent with light. If the sky’s blue it’s to set off that elemental yellow. If the wind blows gently it’s to display the shaping of each flowerlet. Rooted you turn slowly to create our transient spring .The landscape Stops at your foot….observing how you struggle to retrench your lavishness. But the petals wont stop falling .So now you wait.desolate in green, through the long hard-hitting months; your sap still rioting flowers. For 1:15:41, In Theory of Mimesis, Plato says that all art is mimetic by nature; art is an imitation of life. Of course, we all readers already know all this.

i love his onscreen and off screen personality he is supremely talented , i can not beieve someone is so similar to me matlab kaise. i do not agree with him on nepotism a lot of talented people do not get opportunities because of nepotism its okay if someone is talented and worked on craft but not so good looking and people with zero talent getting chances is not okay

Just wondering what wd happen if Sarmad had all the finances for production, promotion and distribution of his films without any compromise on content. U get to see his movies overseas as well as in small low budgeted cinemas. What an asset he is and all he said in the interview made so much sense. Not to say our other directors and film makers are not talented. I just feel they need to bring more finesse in their product and also venture into new territories apart from romance and comedy. Generally just be more brave.
