I just ordered the z1 powder brush and the z8 blush brush a couple days ago. I tend to like very subtle blush. I’m wondering if the z4 might have been a better choice.

In your Takumi series video, you shared your opinion on goat softness among brands. I'd appreciate your opinion on how squirrel compares. You are able to share a great amount of detail as you tell how you formed your opinions.

Hi. I have watched all of your videos. Love them, because I live in Greece and those brushes are not available here and I have to order them and returns are impossible. So I would like to ask something! I need a bronzer brush that is small and dense. I prefer small brushes. Would the Z2 be a good choice? Is there a better brush that you are aware of?

Maria Tsetsoula Hi, thank you so much for watching! It really depends on your skin type, level of pigmentation you want, and shape preference. If you want a squirrel brush, I think you can even use the Z-4 or RC-2 for bronzer. I've tried the Z-2 with bronzer and wasn't a fan.

Hi..Just watched your great video. I bought 4 of these brushes and after touching the face brushe bristles I have held up from using them because I have dry skin..I use a serum then moisturizer and foundation. I like a dewy look so I normally do not use a finishing powder and if I need to it has always been goat hair. I was unclear if I can even use these with my makeup routine because I don't want the hairs to stick together. Any suggestion please?

@denisebove8361 Hi! It's difficult if you like a dewy look since squirrel hairs aren't recommended to be used with liquids and creams or directly on top of them. I recommend only using them on top of powdered surfaces. Goat hair is much more versatile while squirrel hairs are super soft and luxurious feeling. Make sure you wipe them down gently on a soft cloth or tissue after using them as well.

How does the Z2 compare in size to the Suqqu cheek brush? I love currant BLUSHES and am trying to hone in on the best blush brushes. I have a small face so prefer compact blush brushes. Your videos are the best for navigating fude.

teadivamuse The Z-2 is larger, has a tapered head, and is a lot denser than the Suqqu cheek brush. I don't like the Z-2 for blush and much prefer the Z-4, although the Z-4 may be a little big for small faces. The Suqqu cheek is the smallest amongst the three.

@@FudeKyun Thank you for the great info. I meant to write Surratt blushes are my favorites. I have mature sensitive skin and know you also cite the takumi 4 for blush. Do you still recommend it as well?

teadivamuse Surratt blushes are lovely! I still do adore the Takumi T-4 but that is probably too big for small faces too. It would be more like a powder brush for small faces.

Love your videos, so glad i discovered your channel. I actually love the Z-4 and Z-8 :D Sometimes too soft though - off the top of your head, would you happen to know of any goat hair alternatives?

Hi Soobin! Thank you for watching. I think the Z-8 would be pretty close to the Hakuhodo J110 and the Z-4, the Takeda 16SOV D35EXS here: takeda-brush.com/page1.html or you could try the Hakuhodo s113bk or J5547. They both have shorter hairs than the Z-4. The Hakuhodo s113bk is flatter and less fluffy though so it's closer to the Wayne Goss AirBrush.

Jessy_SF DF The first brush I pick up in the video is the Z-8, but the first brush on the left is the Z-1. Z-1 is completely round while Z-9 is a flattened oval shape. I prefer the Z-1.

For squirrel that isn't a problem. All of the Kumano Fude companies' websites do not recommend washing squirrel brushes frequently as it'll damage the hairs. You can read about the care on their websites when you search for them.

I personally cannot stand dirty brushes. So I wash my squirrel brushes after 1 week of usage, but then I rotate through my big collection and I pick the same brush only once a year. Rotating brushes is another way of washing them less + keeping them clean
