Stephen, first of all THANK YOU! I am a huge fan of your work and greatly appreciative of you sharing your knowledge. I am currently building a 56 Chevy truck and will follow your lead on a lot. I had a '50 5-window decades ago and a great friend did all the fab but my budget was so tight, it didn't get the love it deserved. LOVE this filler door idea and location. Please know a little silicone spray makes these grommets a lot easier to work with

I am working on a 1947 International pick up - basically need to do eveything you are doing. I love your craftsmanship - you do beautiful work. The content details are really helpful. I have no idea what I am doing so all that you have recorded is really helpful. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you and your wife :)

Really great video. I'm needing to do a similar filler setup on my 36 coupe. And that's very interesting info on the hose clamps. I had no idea why they used those factory one's. I am now edumacated.

Great adaptation from the rubber flex line, cleaner and the look from a pro shop. You look like you move around fairly easy after your knee surgery. Any hints. Good to have you posting

As always , great content & excellent videography. Great to see your back & making videos. Would you consider putting parts info in your descriptions? It would allow us to use many of the ideas/parts you have used. Stay Real.

I enjoy watching everyone’s different methods of work. Was wondering if you made repairs to your dash or was it a replacement. If a replacement what company did you go with. Thanks

Any concerns about interference between tire travel an the location of the filler tube as it comes straight down? Great truck, nice work!

Thanks for the question Tim, I did consider that, once I found a spot on the fender for the filler, I did some measuring, the downpipe is 3 1/2 inches away from the outside diameter of the tire as it travels up in suspension travel. I know it looks close but it’s actually tucked up real close to the top of the fender.

@@idahofabricator8710 thanks for the reply, I really like what you did for the filler and will probably follow suit.

Another question for you sir, in the previous video you were going to attach your over fill vent under the fender. How did you handle that one as I didn't see it in the video
@idahofabricator8710

You got sharp eyes I welded a tab to the box for the fuel filler door and I got some 5/16 fuel line for the vent house it’s just a simple matter of plugging it into the barb on the fuel pump plate and routing it to the barb on the filler box. I’m going to drill a hole and use a grommet the size of the 5/16 vent hose probably put it near the large hole in the bed side. I’m going to wait until I do a final assembly because it’s hard to remove that vent hose from those barbed fittings
