Volvo's on LPG are vey common in NL, it's a very reliable combination with a Vialle LPG system.. What about road tax in the UK? Diesel and LPG is far more expensive on road tax than petrol in NL : For the curious: For a car weighing 1400 kg, the annual road tax in NL is: petrol: 788 euro LPG G3: 1164 euro LPG (G2 and older): 1652 euro diesel: 1804 euro

It's my car in the video. In the UK, the road tax for LPG converted cars is actually discounted by £10 over the petrol. I think my road tax is between £250 and £300 annually but cant remember exactly! Thanks for the figures - I was curious!

@@james18114 Wow, that's cheap 🙂 I don't know what fuel prices are in UK, in NL per liter (fluctuates a bit every week now): 95-petrol: 2.40 euro diesel: 1.99 euro LPG: 1.08 euro

Damn it’s expensive to be a car guy in the Netherlands. In France if you have an LPG car you don’t pay any tax beside the stamp so that can send you the paperwork to your adress, 3€76 if i remember ! And it’s the same for electric / ethanol e85 / hybrid car as well ! Don’t get why people still drive regular Diesel those days. Why do you think the tax is more expensive for LPG in the Netherlands than a normal Gas? To me it makes no sense ! I have an LPG saab but would love an LPG Volvo, though about buying an high mileage one from Netherlands as they are everywhere!

The car is proven THE best way for the government to collect money sadly :-( Because LPG is cheaper per liter than petrol, the government wants to get the money back they're missing out on, so they just raise the road tax significantly.. LPG was always something for people who drive lots of km's, only then driving on LPG is cheaper than petrol. Now, with the steep increase of petrol pices, the brake even point is at lower km's

That arm rest lid in drivers footwell have slide out cup holders? What we're the engine mounts like much vibration? I get a fare amount on idle an mine need replacing even though my cars only on 80k

Yeah everyone wanted the same bits, I broke two cars so it depends what you’re after. Got a lot of trim and interior bits.

@@yeetmachine1737 yeah i'm having parts machined to rebuild my T5 engine. head/gasket went after 263855 miles. we've had it since i was 10 so an engine swap just didn't sit well with me as i felt i'd be loosing the soul of my car

Mine is a BRC sequential kit. Really good quality and the kit has done 160k miles on original injectors etc.

Manual p80s are like hens teeth here in the states. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places lol. With that being my experience, I'd hate to see those manual transmission parts get scrapped, but they're probably super plentiful over there.

Getting harder to find bits now. We had something called the Scrappage Scheme which took a lot of cars out of circulation in a bad way. Will do a video on it soon.
