Hey Warren, pretty soon you’ll have 20 or 30 pairs of those reader glasses laying around. I’ve got a large box full of them. Then I got diabetes and had to get real glasses to see. Getting old isn’t for the weak, that’s for sure. Thanks for the video my friend.

My grandpa used to say don't shit in your own mess kit lol. He was an ornery old fella, but a heart of gold. He was an anti tank sergeant and trained in explosives during wwll, fought in the battle of the bulge, and showed my brother and i picture's of the dead soldier's they killed, and i was about twelve, and my brother was about ten, and he told us not to drive any damn volkswagon when we got older, and not to drive any japscrap onto his driveway either. I remember back in 1993, the governot sent him a medal, and a shoulder ribbon that attached to an army jacket gave to his nephew shortly after the war. He thought it was about like some politician to send him the stuff nearly 50 year's after the war ended. His brother was killed in one of the philippine island jumping mission's, and he found out that they mutilated his body and left it out to try and intimidate and scare the marine's, but he said they kicked their ass all the way to japan. I felt lucky both my grandpa's lived, my other grandpa was a medic, and was on the front line's, and at the invasion of normandy. After hiler surrendered, his unit liberated several concentration camp's with a lot of pow's, jews, and other ethnicities. He said it was worse than anything you could imagine, and he couldn't believe any human could do such evil against another human. There were bodies pilled everywhere, clothes and shoes piled high in stacks from children's, woman's, and men's. The clothes were the same. The smell was something he never wanted to experience again, nor the half cremated bodies, the piles of bones, and the surviving people they tried to save, but many were so malnourished, that they died from dysentery, and other diseases, plus eating killed many because their heart couldn't take the rapid intake of calories. My grandpa captured an ss soldier, took his swastika arm band, luger pistol, and the ss bars fom his uniform as proof of what he saw. They were ordered to cover up the extermination's, but there was no way they had enough time, and many of the soldier's deserted, knowing they would be tried for war crimes. My grandpa told the family he wanted nothing on his headstone or grave noting that he had ever been in the war. He was my best friend, and i was the only one he told a lot of this stuff to about ten year's before he died. He taught me how to fix a lot of stuff, because he didn't want anyone else to fix anything but him. He became an engineer after the war, but really wanted to be a doctor, but at 26, they said he was to old. He was pissed about that even when i was growing up, because he had so much medical knowledge from trying to save guy's with horrific wounds. I don't blame him though, risk your life in a war, and then get shut down when you get home. Sorry to ramble on, but the comment you made about your grandpa got me thinking. Thanks for all these video's, appreciate them. G-d bless.

Hello Warren, not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but Iveco/Cummins were in partnership for about ten years and developed the engine platforms together, that's why the engines seem so similar.

Great work warren that engine was a joint development with Cummins Iveco, and CNH ,I had a BOSCH VE pump fail completely and the fuel injection repair shop said that the pump was obsolete , I took a few weeks to find enough parts to repair it I found a good guide to remove and replace it on Oregon Fuel Injections websites Keep up the Good work mate 👍

I've had good results removing small old seals like that by punching a hole thru the seal with a sharp 70 degree punch, then driving in a small wood screw and pulling with a vise grip locked to the wood screw. Keep the screw threads away from the shaft, though.

Great video Warren, the ULSD Diesel fuel is not good for the shaft seals, add some Diesel fuel conditioner or a little 2 cycle oil and the seals will last longer. You are very correct on checking the return line and the shaft for damage and movement in the bushing.

Hello, how cool an FPT engine (Fiat Power Train) here in Brazil they apply in New Holland machines and power generators, the 4 and 6 cylinders. Here they are known as N45 the 4 cylinders and N67 the 6 cylinders. Very good engines, I did a complete overhaul on one of these 4 cylinders in April. With this injection pump configuration, here in Brazil it is used in the New Holland 7630 Tractor. Until further and success to you.

Hey Warren love your channel, been following since the start! Off topic but can I ask what brand your large heavy duty snap ring pliers are? I can’t find a decent pair anywhere and the little piece of crap ones break on every god damn job it seems. Thanks buddy, keep up the great work you are truly a master at your trade and I have learned so much watching you work. Warren enjoying your honesty on your videos, in the trade etc, have you had issues with the Diaphragm splitting on the fuel lift pump, seen it a lot on Deutz & Perkins engines, either oil into fuel or fuel into oil, depends on the split in the Diaphragm. 👍

I put a fuel additive when the fuel man comes it has Lubricity in it, low sulfur diesel fuel plays hell on pumps and injectors, especially rotary type injection pumps, not so much piston type. They say it is in the fuel already, but I don't believe it.

I've never understood why they don't put a little tell tale hole through the shaft boss and a sheild washer under the gear so once the seal starts passing it leaks down the back of the casing instead of filling your sump with diesel 🙄...
