I like the art style and the straight forward game play of Fuga. I checked the Nintendo E shop preview of the game and was surprised by events for bonding in the game. This game is not your average dungeon crawler. Have a great day David 😀

I think French is the official language of the Little Tail Bronx series, since the characters of Solatorobo spoke French as well. This is also a small budget game so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have the budget for an English voiceover on top of Japanese and French, oh and the choir songs in the game are spoken in the language you choose so that's kind of neat. I don't mind the characters being one note either since it's an ensemble cast and that's kind of what you get with that approach. I'm enjoying the interactions between the characters as well, but I can understand if you wanted to get into the gameplay more. I'm about halfway through the game right now and while I'm not the biggest fan of linear games the inability to grind and your choices meaning quite a bit makes the game very engaging. I'm also liking the Grandia esque combat system and how simple it looks on the surface but how complex it can be with all the base building involved. I'm hoping that this game does well so CC2 can do more original IP, not just Anime games, in the future. I really liked .hack, Silent Bomber, Solatorobo, and Asura's wrath and it's been a shame that we haven't gotten too many original games from them in the past decade. I also spoiled myself a bit so I saw that the ending teases the next game in the series. I hope it's not another 10 years before we see another Little Tail Bronx game. I'd also like to see Solatorobo get remade since it's a shame it's stuck on pretty inferior hardware, and cost an arm and a leg to buy these days. Unfortunately that game is under Bandai Namco's umbrella so much like the .hack series I doubt we'll be seeing much happen with that, that's kind of why Fuga was self published by CC2.

I just beat this game today. This was a pretty damn good JRPG. I really enjoyed the gameplay. I thought the story and characters were quite good as well.

Didn't even know this existed! I will definitely look into picking this one up in the near future. The on rails kind of gameplay reminds me a bit of The Banner Saga, which is an amazing SRPG trilogy I'd recommend trying out if you're up for a game with some challenge.

I admit, I was a bit trepidatious about this one. I loved Solatorobo, and I was super happy to see the Little Tail Bronx series continue, but I the sepia-tinted sadness and tank-only combat did put me off. This review did change my mind though. It looks like the series hasn't lost a bit of its charm. Fingers crossed that this will do well enough to fund remasters of Tail Concerto and Solatorobo on modern platforms

I’m liking this one. Only a few chapters in and working on CrisTales still so it will be awhile to till I finish it. But I like the challenge and simplicity of it all. This will be a play once and be done with it title for me but I like it quite a bit!

I like both French and Japanese voices and they seem to sound alike, unlike an English dub track for instance. Good job with the French voices in this game.

Fun review, thanks! This game seems somewhat too linear on the surface. No grinding available is a pet peeve for me. I have experienced other RPGs where it is eliminated and you have to rely on skill to overcome challenges. I would much rather grind and steamroll any enemies than not have that option available. I am very glad you can skip the bonding dialogue, that was a nice touch!

I must admit that I'm happy that they skipped having an English dub, because I'm not a big fan of English dubs in JRPGs at all (as well as games based on anime). Being a game that's set in WW2, it would be really interesting to play this game on the Switch.
