Was there last March and it snowed! Fun! First half of Fujiyama is great until the winding ups and downs. It felt like my spine is being crushed haha but the 1st drop is great! Takabisha is my favourite! Ride is smooth. And the beyond vertical drop is insane. Panicked for a bit there 😂 Eejanaika is soooo crazy! The 1st drop is phenomenal! Then you don't know the directions you are going. I thought I'll get dizzy after the ride but I didn't. Zokkon is so fun! Was laughing and smiling the entire ride. I love the twisties! 😂

It may have been described earlier here, but the reason for the focus on so much safety redundancies and slow operations stems from the Fujin Raijin II incident. That derailment killed Expoland (the park that the coaster was at), and made people Distrust coasters in Japan for a few years. The hyperfocus on safety is what the theme park industry in Japan used to get people back to the Parks.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE AGE LIMIT OF 54 I had no idea about this age limit until the day before I arrived in Japan. I was so ticked off to find this out. I'm 60. My friend is 57. We were very worried about getting turned away after having traveled a long way to get to Japan. Well, the ride ops didn't ask us about our age, and we were able to ride. We also had no issues getting on Takabisha, which also has this silly 54 limit. It appears the age limit is there as a warning or recommendation, similar to warnings that you shouldn't ride if you're pregnant, have back problems, have high blood pressure, etc. In other words, if you choose to ignore these recommendations and get injured, "we warned you." We talked with another "older rider" at the park, and he said he also had no problem getting on Eejanaika.

Only 2 of the thrill coasters were open when we went, the rest were down for ‘maintenance’. The first had a huge 3 hour line. The whole experience felt very dangerous with lax safety procedures and I had a huge neck-ache and backache after the experience. Not only that, they make you take a huge 1.5km detour so you buy stuff from near the exit, when the entrance is just next to the train station. Won’t go back again.

We had to wait 2.5 hrs for cars ride in California adventure disney. We had a fast pass but it wasn’t included + there was a separate purchase just for that ride. With 3 kids it seemed too expensive to buy the separate single use pass but i regretted waiting that long with 3 kids. My son had to pee behind a building in line bc there were no washrooms mid wait. A ride for kids so poorly run 😂
@bodhowler735 ай бұрын
2.5 hour wait sucks! Though to give perspective, we once spent 2.5 hours waiting for our first ride on Rita in the year it opened. The disappointment!! They need to replace Rita. Alton towers used to be the best park in the uk, far from it now. London has taken precedence over the north with thorpe park getting all the best rides, which suits me being from the south, but i have such fond memories of corkscrew, black hole, the beast (black hole in daylight?) Thunder looper, and of course the early says of nemesis, back when it was the only one of its type in the uk.

I was thinking the same, especially seeing how run down that ferris wheel was. Definitely not the experience you expect in a place where every train runs exactly on time
@Josh_Stuchbery5 ай бұрын
Don't be too put off. It can be really hit or miss on how long the wait times are. The video paints a very bleak picture. Yes the safety procedures are asinine, but bear in mind that this was on a Saturday, which is by far the parks busiest day. I got 9 rides on Eejanaika in one day, so it's not always this bad. My advice is to just give yourself plenty of time. If you want to make sure you get plenty of rides, than book accommodation close by and allow yourself at least two days to go to the park.
