Just a note about the sensor formats when shooting video (3:33): VistaVision is actually what digital photographers call full frame (36x24mm) and Premista is a series of lenses made by Fuji to cover that format (which filmmakers today call "large format"). The 35mm option probably means Super35 (also known as APS-C).

Such a great piece of gear. It is definitely a great choice for cinematography in a really good price. I would love to see this as a street photography option because the bokeh and features would give a look never seen before. But it is most probably an overkill for that. How does the Reala preset look? Thanks for the insight!

despite what the spec sheet from fuji says.... one youtube video mentioned that the 100II can shoot 20fps in 35mm crop mode (electronic shutter). Is there any way you could tell us if this is true?? Spec sheet says 8.7fps in that mode. Also, thought I'd mention... the B&H listing says that in the normal un-cropped mode the RAW 8FPS shoots unlimited frames.... but the spec sheet says 76 :)

Great gear intro! The link to the 55mm lens brings you to the GFX 100SII. Might want to correct that. Is that 15mm of shift total or to each side of the center? Never owned or used one before. Thanks for any replies. Good to see the option of the Multi Angle EVF brought back. Maybe Fuji will intro a higher mp EVF at a later date.

A lot will depend what lenses you have on it just like the 100S. If you put the Gf 45 2.8 on either camera No problem but do the same with the GF 80 1.7 then that is another story. .

Depends on what you want to do with it, your $-budget-$. & if you're going to make money with it. With the fps improvement it would be good for Fashion shoots & even before this, great for product, & landscapes. Probably better color & definitely better files to work with in post. The colors of the Sony cameras can easily be fixed in post & the R5 is one of the best all arounders out there! So many great choices out there to choose from.

This says ProRes is only available up to 4K internally, but the spec sheet on fuji's website implies it can do 8K as well. Could you confirm which is true?

I’m not sure where you get the information from that this sensor is 20% larger than full frame. It’s very simple to calculate you take the width and height of a full frame centre and multiply it to keep you the square millimetres. You do the same with this Fuji sensor which is 44 mm wide and multiplied by the height to give you the square. Once you have both of these dimensions, you can divide the larger number by the smaller number and you will find it is a lot more than 20%. Thought I’d mention that. Great video though.

what i read now on their site is that it only has 4K 3:2 format. everything else is 16:9 or DCI

It’s a good reminder that “good” gear doesn’t mean you’ll have good photos, digital images still look so boring and bland to me
