The 2nd part of my Fujifilm X-E2 review. Here I look at Travel and Landscape images I have taken with this awesome little camera. Thanks again to Leigh Diprose for sending me this camera to test out and review. B

Also, that tree shot on the lake is imho, probably your best of the bunch. That's actually a really gorgeous photo and made me gasp.

What about 10-24mm as a polyvalence lens if i have to get only 1 lens for landscabes and portraits ?

What is the image viewer you're using here? Great shots

Hmm, Ive got a question for you Brent. How does this compare to the Sony a6000? I currently have the a6000, and its is nice to have the fast AF but i don't seem to ever need it. The image quality of the Fuji seems better. I enjoy the physical dials also. any thoughts?

Thanks for the two part series, great to get your honest opinion. I'm heading to S.E Asia next month and want to get a more suitable camera for the travels. I currently shoot Nikon D5100. I want something smaller/lighter but am a little concerned that I may not get the shots that I want considering its likely to be a once in a lifetime trip. My thoughts are either a small Fuji or a better full frame Canon 6D. Would you risk losing great photos (6d) for the convenience of the small size (Fuji). TY

Great honest review! how would you compare X-E2 with OM D EM5?

How On Earth did you shoot the first Photo with Aperture 1.6 ? It would be impossible with a 23 mm lens to get the DOF in this photo !

Good review buddy, I'm in the same place with carrying my 5d 3 around think I'll leave it for my pro work only and invest in this for when I'm out and about, but the auto focus is putting me off slightly. Very helpful though thanks!

Most of the time the autofocus works fine - I'm missing this little camera on my trip right now, I'm in the USA, and I have noticed that I'm using my phone for snapshots, which is not the best. Wished I had that camera right now! B

This was much more of a 23mm/1.4 review than the X-E2. Lots of shallow DOF images, but very little on how the camera works, using EC dial, why you use spot metering, how the camera features help you get images the way you want, etc. And your comments about AF accuracy really didn't explain how you had the camera set. Face detection on? Did you place the focus point on the subject or just let the camera have at it? I'm very seriously considering moving the the X-E2, but this didn't help my decision making at all. Sorry.

Strange how the out of focus shots are the camera's fault

I find most of your photos that you show, have such a shallow depth of field that actually makes the viewer want to "see more", almost like you're hiding the story. I get the idea behind bokeh and focus and wanting to draw attention - something I think you did really well on the map shot, but other than that - I actually find the photos quite frustrating.

What is that awful looking software you are using to view the images.
