Fujifilm X-E4 Review After Heavy Usage

Forgot to mention: the xe4 is NOT weather sealed, has only 1 SD card slot and is more directed towards the casual photographer, as i mentioned in this video already. I just wanted to point out some things i forgot. (it can still be used for professional use, 100%)

1st of all nice pics. good job. Ive had many cameras over the last 26 yrs, pentax, nikon, olympus, and 4 generations of fuji x cameras. XE-04 is the best!!. You are lucky to have 1 these days

Nice video and some beautiful photos! I came from the X10 years ago, had the Panasonic Pen-F (horrible menu, horrible MFT sensor) had the Panasonic DC-LX100 (still bad MFT) finally bought the Fuji XE3 and now having the XE4 which I absolutely love! Besides the 27mm /2.8 I still have the 18-55 which gives me OIS at least... talking of weather resistance... I shot in the rain with my XE4 and it perfectly fine! Ok it wasn't a downpour but it can cope with soft rain just fine... I'm waiting for the XE5 now, hopefully with WR and IBIS... Keep up the good work 🙌🏻

Waiting for the xe5 next year 😅 Also I think it’s very cool how you got the silver but put the sticker for protection and has a bit of silver coming through.

I agree, the X-E4 is the best. The Fuji X-T10 was my first camera, and it still works to this day. However, for me, it’s a bit heavy and not really compact, so I bought a Ricoh, only to find out that I hated it. I ended up selling it after just two months of heavy use. Most of the images I took with the Ricoh were blurry, and its low-light performance was bad-nowhere near as sharp as my Fuji X-T10 with the 35mm f/2 lens. Since I couldn’t find anyone selling the X-E4, I bought a Sony a6400. While I loved it, I wasn’t completely happy with it. I’m not sure why, but it felt like I wasn’t doing something I truly enjoyed. With Fuji, I feel like I’m making art every time I take a photo. I got lucky and found someone selling an X-E4 with only 1,000 shutter count-it’s practically like a new camera. Now, I’m at peace. Sony makes great cameras, and I might actually buy another one, maybe the A7CII, but I will never go back to the Ricoh GR III. It’s fragile, overpriced, and has bad autofocus.

I’ve shot my XE4 at least 4/7 days a week for a year now. I paid 2x the msrp during the run on Fuji cameras. It is my daily driver, and I don’t baby my cameras. The top function button no longer works, but I love it. I rock either the XF 23mm f2 or the Voigtlander Nokton 23mm f1.2. It’s my backup for my work camera, and my B cam for video gigs.

It’s my daily driver, and it’s a super camera with vintage lenses too. I confirm, having the XT4 for paid jobs, that XE4 is not only a spare gear. It’s an absolute underrated banger !! ☺️👍🍀

@@boradoesphoto same sensor but with ibis. Absolutely good and reliable. No need to get the 40mpx, the 26mpx gen4 has a fantastic rendering, and I don’t complain about AF. Ibis is very nice for video. Battery life is good. Shutter is a bit quieter than XE4’s. If you want to keep good harmony between your two devices, XT4 will be perfect 👍

I'm looking for a more compact camera for mainly street photo and I've been practing photos for years, I'm still hesitating between XE-4 and XT-30 II. What are the main differences and which one would you recommend?

hi, glad you liked it :) i own an xe4 and xt30 right now and i like the xe4 more. mainly because of the formfactor, i love how it looks and feels. the shooting experience is basically the same, so it comes down to what look you prefer

I sold my X-E4 to buy Panasonic S9 which is a great camera but I definitely miss my Fuji. Good thing I didn't sell XF 27mm f2.8 WR. I will wait and buy either new X-M5 which will be even smaller or wait for X-E5. I agree that this combo with 27mm is unbeatable for street / travel.

I bough the Pana S9 but kept the X-E4 just in case I didn't get on with the S9. I just sold the S9, gone back to the X-E4. Loved the full frame sensor but just didn't get on with the rest of the S9.

@@DavidMBanes Yes there is something when it comes to Fuji and I definitely will add it back. On the other hand I won't sell S9 either as it's IBIS and AF are leagues above Fuji. So when I need my kids in focus or stable video then Panasonic will do the job.

XE-4 with the 27mm kit goes for $2200. I got a Leica Q for less than that so the choice is simple if you're trying to replicate the function of a Leica, just get a Leica!
