You can get all film simulations in Capture One and Lightroom. There are a few videos telling you how. Even Nostalgic Negative. That's a reason I am choosing the X Pro 2, plus it's the same price brand new when you factor in the essential grips the XE4 needs for me. Its such an easy decision- a high end pro camera Vs a budget, flimsy bar of soap only suitable for certain straps.

@@erenjam oh you don't know do you. Get ready to have some fun and start using all the new film simulations. 😉 Just search for "pal2tech all film simulations fuji" and he tells you how. There is a video with orange thumbnail which aslo explains how. Basically you remove the camera model it is restricted to in Windows. Can use on Windows or Mac, Lightroom or Capture One (the latter uses a different method).

I got an Xpro2 about 6 months ago and stuck the 23mm f2 on it. One camera, one lens works great for my urban landscape and street photography. Unless I win the lottery and can afford a leica, I'll be shooting the Xpro2 for a long time.

Congrats on 2k sub, nice to be part of it, btw are you excited for the new 18mm f1.4? I believe this is the widest focal length that will show the frame line on x-pro2's ovf, could be the perfect pair with the 35mm for street photography.

I was excited about the X-E4 but after what I've seen in reviews, it is NOT an upgrade to my trusty and solid X-Pro2. I'm sticking with what I got. That new(second gen.) 27mm f2 lens looks amazing and a perfect fit for both the X-E and X-Pro line, except it costs double without the X-E4 kit configuration

I am simply stating that the relatively newer "feature set" and disappointing ergonomics compared to my X-Pro2 and X-E cameras are Not worth retiring those cameras Ive been shooting for as long as they've been out. In other words, X-Pro2 owners [or those "choosing" between these two] need not to worry. 2 million extra pixels, a tilt screen and the new film simulation will not make a difference in the long run.

Agreed about the weather sealing, it could be so good secondary/backup camera, if they did so, and the lack of grips would be actually advantage then because of the small footprint when stored waiting for its moment to shine. About the sound, sounds good to me, one thing i would point out I think your intro music is a bit too loud Mate🙂

@ eagleeye photo As stated in the video, as a straight out of camera jpeg shooter the X-E4 is WAY better for film simulations and custom recipes than the X-Pro2. I am swapping from the X-E3 to the X-E4 next week, I find the X-E3 a little frustrating when using custom recipes. The X-T3 isn't a rangefinder style, so not even on my radar. Coming from dSLR I have no interest what-so-ever in non-RF styled cameras. Of course the benefits of the faster AF and PDAF points that cover the whole screen on the X-E4 are obvious!

When it come to jpeg SOOC we are talking about film simulations the closest one to film is Xpro-1 first generation of Xtrans sensor also used in XE-1 and modified for XT-1 and XE-2 later on.The rest of the features can be deciding to buy camera but XE-4 lacking behind when compared to Xpro-2 and even to XE-3 (stripped buttons and no way to access all features without going in to menu).It is not even in the same league to be compared with any xpro.

As soon as lockdown ends here I have a video on simulations and recipes which covers this. Basically you can save your settings but can’t rename a film simulation. As for firmware, other than upgrades for new lenses, I doubt we will see a major update to the xpro2

They will all pretty much be the same, XE4 the best of the lot but without stabilisation you'll be very limited with what you can do

No. But you might get close using custom recipes from Fuji X Weekly and others.

I'd go for the X-pro2 over the X-pro3, and yeah, the X-E3 is also a great shout. They all pretty much use the same sensor so image quality wise there isn't a lot between them

@@ampzp The X-Pro1 you are looking is very slow AF. It is only contrast detect. Avoid it, it is painful. Those going on about older cameras have more film-likeness are talking sh!te. They are repeating what they are being told on noobtube.

@@erenjam Thanks for answering! :) I'm trying to grab one around 700 Euros which seems fair considering the market I guess. I think I could get an X-E4 for the same price but I'd miss the toggle to switch between AF-modes and exactly one wheel (which is available on the X-E3). I think Fuji went a little too minimal on the X-E4. I like the aesthetics but I don't think that I'd want to shoot it all day every day. Second hand the X-Pro 3 is crazy expensive and I don't like the screen tilt option so that's a no as well.

Proud user of Xpro2 Graphite Edition here.. been tempting to trade mine to XE4 too but yeah after seeing many reviews I decided that XE4 arent for me. I rather saving up and upgrade to Xpro3 though it will takes quite times for me.. lol 😅 Always love XE and Xpro lines up but the drastic change on XE4 for me is just bit too much and become too simplistic. I rather Fujifilm named it XM-2 and makes version of XE4 that have the same look as XE3 plus the new screen

@@erenjam absolutely true !! Its have own unique character I think.. Hahaa maybe when I able to purchased an Xpro3 it will be the same time around when Xpro4 released.. lol. Finger crossed it will have screen like XE4 or X100V and no more cutting down on numbers of dials and buttons 😅 Btw your video about XF90mm lens makes up my mine to bought it too around 3-4 weeks ago, that lens are superb sharp and have own color character itself just like XF 35 1.4 and XF 16 1.4. Hehe nice man! That kinda the resons I want to buy xpro2. I got xt30 with 18-55 & 55-200 was awesom for learning for over a year but time to move forward. Love the look of xpro2 with f2 lenses will be awesome. I dont really like x100v or xpro3 for hidden screen and prices of those 2 are a bit too much. I can imagine xpro4 will be over 1500£ when out, it will take time to upgrade for us until better model haha

@@erenjam Yeah here in Edinburgh WR is a must, rain and snow all the time haha. Btw in strong rain do you use any protection like a plastic bag or umbrella? not afraid of getting it soaked? I use xt30 and its survived some rain but still afraid and use plastic bag when gets kinda crazy outdoors.

Timely post, Eren. Would have been a plus had you shown both models side by side, or if you had mentioned first hand use yourself instead of spec sheet recap approach. Congrats on 2K subs (didn’t I predict that?😁). Sound quality is good. Mic placement distracting - suggest moving it out of cam sight (above?). X-Pro2 vids getting a bit stale - time to move on, IMO. How about Fuji’s large format line? Read news item about new Fuji “patents” for 1 inch sensor gear, so something might be brewing - hear anything? Cheers!

Haha much appreciated as always Paul! Trying to get in Fujifilm’s good books so they send me the gear early but I fear my honest approach may trip me up 😂. So, still playing with the sound, getting some foam in for the walls and then need to sort out some sort of stand to get the mic out of shot. So hopefully in the coming weeks I can iron all this out.
