Thanks for making this video. I'm confused by the answer they gave you regarding the sudden luminance change. As I understand, they said that if ISO is set to 'auto' it will not occur, but it seems like what is happening is actually the result of auto ISO. If you set the camera to M mode with fixed ISO, does the problem still happen? Just trying to understand what was changing - aperture, shutter, or ISO?

I have the xs10 and the jumps in luminance is the aperture changing. Try having the shutter speed and aperture fixed and let the camera change iso in accordance to it's programing. To protect highlights, set the aperture for the brightest part of the shot. The change in iso is much more gradual. Regarding the banding, if you select 50mbs or 100mbs I think it records colour in 8bit, not 10bit mode, thus you have banding. Select larger bitrate.

Well, I will try fixed iso or fixed aperture, I think i tried couple of fixed settings through the summer, i can't remember now the results. But the other thing is I don't think if you buy a camera shouldn't work perfectly. 50 -mbps is around the UHD BD so that doesn't explain should not work.

Do you regret to buy the XS20? I want to go mirrorless, and video is one of the reasons, the other is size. I have Canon and Nikon DSLR and I'm thinking about going Fuji, Nikon or Sony

Fuji has good price, but these issues seems to me amateurish. I mean I would expect a higher quality of software and customer support from a brand like Fuji.

@ChrisFilmDigital thanks! Well, there are reasons why Canon, Nikon and Sony are the brands most used by professional hybrid photographers. Reliability and support being the most important for a professional. That said, I would love a Nikon or Sony camera with the size and capabilities of the XT30 / XT50, XE4, XM5, etc
