So I have a xt-200, and as of now Mar 2022, Con 1 is now resolved, ISO can be allocated to a fn button, then the right side rear wheel for up and down. Con 2 is also taken care of re hot shoe, in menues you need to select the flash and select "Commander" then remote triggers work all ok. However there is no TTL metering, so external flash meter is needed in the studio, Hope this helps!

hello, how do i set shutter speed to a custom number like 63 or 139 etc? coz the dial wheels dont hav those numbers. i ask because i need to set shutter speed 120 for my 60fps video recording and 1/120 is not there

Hi, you can't actually set the shutter speed on most mirrorless cameras to custom numbers. But, to change the shutter speed for recording at 60 FPS, use 1/125. Then 1/50 for 24 FPS and 1/60 for 30 FPS.

If you take a video in the “movie” mode you won’t see any exposure stepping. Also, I believe that the shutter speed can be changed on the fly using the very left dial.

I see. Yes what you have to do is adjust the left dial, so the camera disable automatic shutter when using the Movie Mode. Didn't realize that would turn it into manual control.

For 1080 video recording, which is better? Sony a6000 , canon m50, or Fujifilm xt200? I want to record art videos, make review videos and interviews. For me, colour accuracy in video mode is most important.

Well all of these cameras offer similar video quality, since they all shoot in 8-bit color with 4:2:0 subsampling when filming 1080p. So there won't be any huge differences in color accuracy for video there. But, I can say the Canon M50 and the X-T200 do have great color rendering when using the Auto White Balance option during video. The Canon gives more red hues to skin tones, which make them look more flush and tan for interviews. While the X-T200 is more greenish, and makes skin look a bit more accurate and flat. So I'd say this comes down to personal preference if you want more attractive skin or skin colors that are more realistic and accurate. If you want attractive, go for the Canon. Otherwise, go for the Fuji.

Hi Pravin, no. The Fujifilm X-T200 doesn't have Zebra's. You'll have to use the standard histogram to expose videos on this camera.

Hi the difference is small. I wouldn’t worry too much about it unless you really want to pixel peep the images. I think you’d be happy getting the XS10, since you want the bigger grip or the XT3. Both cameras would be perfect for photography.

For 70,000₹, you can also consider the Canon EOS M6 Mark II. Compared to the X-T200, it will deliver higher resolution images and better autofocusing, especially face detection. And that will help greatly for shooting fashion, especially if the models are moving a lot. You can also consider a Fujifilm X-T3, so you can get weather sealing, a faster buffer, dedicated dials of exposure, and more. But, those are the two major cameras that come to mind, outside of a Sony A7 II maybe, if you're looking to go full-frame instead. Here's our review of the M6 II though. Check it out compared to the X-T200, which you can also find on our site. Hi @Photograph PX I've been trying to maximize me X-T200 and picked up capture 21, I'm not sure if you use that software but it blows my mind that Fuji's own flagship software can't just detect the X-T200 for an import... could you confirm this? Photos App detects the X-T200 and I get the expected behavior of "importing from camera into software"

Capture One products have quarterly updates where they add new support for cameras. The X-T200 probably just hasn't been added to their official support list yet. This was the case when the X-T2 and X-T3 cameras first came out too. It takes them a while (sometimes a year) to add support for Fuji X mount cameras.

Hello. What do you mean external lighting? Those lighting that supports the device? Or any lighting in general? So what if I use just a light that i do not connect with the camera, will it have a sucky quality?

Hi Monjid, when I say "external lighting" I mean connecting a trigger for the light to the camera. Most flash units have a receiver unit that connects to the cameras hot shoe. And that's the portion that doesn't work. If you use an external light that doesn't flash, so say an LED light or some other continuous light, then you won't have an issue. But, if you're using a strobe or an off-camera flash, it may not work.

Well ideally you want something weather sealed if your going camping, just in case it rains all of a sudden. A weather sealed camera won't get damaged in that kind of situation, and that alone could be a godsend. Sadly, the X-T200 doesn't offer weather sealing, so that's something to keep in mind. But, for this kind of travel/landscape use you can get an X-T2 or X-T3, both have weather sealing. Or you can consider the X100 lineup, the V has weather sealing. But, if you don't want that feature, the X-T200 is a solid option as a beginners camera for what you're looking for.

@@SajidAli_345 hey, i use x2t f and godox tt600 with xt200 . No problem at all. Just make sure you use mechanical not electeonic shutter. And also there’s no HSS so if you want “HSS” just use ND filter. Other than that, off cam flash with godox is good

Well. I wouldn't say it's plasticky and cheap feeling. I know exactly what you're talking about too, but the X-T200 feels pretty solid and well-built. But it is an entry-level camera, so it won't feel quite as solid as say the X-T30, X-S10 or even the X-T1. For the most part, we'd say that the build quality is good and on par for the entry-level segment. Most of these cameras have plastic/polycarbonate frames that naturally feel a bit cheap. But that's just the nature of these kinds of cameras.

@@yamkotea My X-T200 has survived two drops onto hard surfaces unscathed since I bought it last year. One when I accidently knocked it off a coffee table onto hard laminate flooring and the second time, it was knocked out of my hand by a passer-by in the street and bounced a couple of times on the pavement so I can vouch for it's durability. Maybe I was lucky but I have learnt my lesson and bought a wrist strap for it now. My only real gripe about the build quality is the battery compartment cover which looks a bit flimsy and doesn't automatically lock when you press it back into the camera body.

Hi Azam, we haven't the 18-55mm kit lens for a Fuji before. But, from the videos we've seen of it, i'd say the bokeh is okay. Just shoot wide open at F/3.5 and stay close to the subject. You can get good bokeh that way.

Hi Semanti. No these were mostly shot with the Fujinon 35 F/2. We didn't purchase the X-T200 as a kit. But the updated 18-45mm is excellent. Would recommend it if you're looking into that lens.

The X-T30 is the better photography camera. As you shoot with it more, you'll really appreciate the immediacy of having the ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture on dedicated dials. It's a small thing that makes a huge difference when shooting outdoors, especially street photography and one-off moments. Being able to quickly dial in setting without even digging through the menus is a gigantic bonus. And for that reason alone, I'd recommend the X-T30 over the T-200. The T-200 makes a better hybrid camera, if you want to record videos too. But for photography, the X-T30 is better.

I don't recall all of them being customizable no. The left top dial you can customize to a variety of options though, mine was set to control ISO. The other dial was set to shutter speed by default and I used lenses with an Aperture ring. So didn't feel it was necessary to customize other dials. But, I'm not sure if those ones offer customization.

Okay. In that case I would recommend the M50. Mainly because it's far easier to use the X-T200. The X-T200 has plenty of advanced features and is quite a powerful camera at this price point. But, the menus on there are a bit deep, and you may feel overwhelmed at first with this camera. They're well organized and the touchscreen works great to navigate. But, for what you're looking to do, the M50 is also a great camera that's equally capable. And it's far easier to learn, master, without feeling overwhelmed.

No the X-T200 doesn't overheat. Fuji added a video record limit in 4K and 1080p to prevent the camera for doing so.

You can manually adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO in Video mode. Spend a little more time with the camera, dig deeper in the settings. It's not easy but there is a way. You can totally shoot 4K video with full manual controls on the X-T200. The video ISO is separate from the photo ISO. You can put the setting on the screen on a "custom button" in the Q menu. See Setup -> Button/Dial Setting -> Function(Fn) Setting -> choose a Button - and assign the "Movie ISO" on it.

Yes, it's better in terms of ease of use. So it's a camera that we would recommend for beginning photographers. But, the X-T200 offer far more features, better video quality, and room for growth. So it's the better long-term camera for most users, if they're willing to overcome the complex menu.

Hi Sophie, the main deciding point between those two cameras are these two points: do you want a fully articulating screen that you can use to compose at both high and low angles. But also in front of the camera? And secondly, how important in autofocus tracking to your work? These are the two main differences between the X-T200 and the E-M10 Mark IV. Both are very very similar otherwise and have mostly identical features, ergonomics, and designs. But, the X-T200 does have a fully articulating touchscreen, which is better for shooting videos or shooting at strange angles. And from experience, we'd say the X-T200 also has better continuous Face/subject tracking, which makes it better for recording videos, especially for KZbin. Great video! I don’t think you can use Fuji Xt- 200 with Fuji x Raw studio by linking the camera to your computer?. I’ve tried and can’t make it work. I think this is a pity because I was looking forward to experimenting with the different film simulations on a big screen. Apart from that, I think it is a great camera for beginners like me. I especially love the screen.

Hi, I would suggest using Adobe Lightroom instead. In Lightroom you can add any of the camera’s film simulations afterwards. They’re all available in the Develop Module in the Color Profiles section. Nice and easy to change.

I’ve just discovered that you can find Fuji xt-200 film simulations in Adobe Photoshop Elements camera raw editing , which is brilliant for me because I haven’t taken the plunge yet and subscribed to Lightroom. (I know I probably will, but at least can try them out first).

Basically, Fuji are not intuitive and can't be used to change settings at a fast pace. I've been a Nikon Shooter with 2 DSLR bodies and a host of F mount lenses and wanted to enter the mirrorless world and have been eyeing the Nikon Z50 and also other offerings from Sony and Fuji. Problem is the long learning curve associated with Sony: Convoluted Menu and Fuji: Convoluted dials are putting me off. I think I'll stick with Nikon the glass will cheaper (comparatively) and I can adapt lenses with an FTZ adapter...Nikon is so intuitive for a Nikon Shooter of almost 9 years...my personal opinion...

It's missing one of the connector pins on the hot-shoe to interface with non-fujfilm flash units. Already looked into it. To get this kind of functionality, you have to jump to the X-TXX, X-TX, or X-S series. It's just a lame thing Fuji did to separate this camera and the X-A7 from others in the same price point.
