Really shows what you can do when a good photographer is holding the camera. I like the idea of having a camera like this for a lot the wide angle duties while having the main camera handle the mid and telephoto duties. Allows you to carry less weight.

As always, I love your videos. If I didn't have the Ricoh GR I would hop on this. I love the sharp lens on my Ricoh and the snap focus. It's my absolute favorite camera. I want to love this Fuji, because of the tilt screen and leaf shutter, I may get it, but it's redundant for me right now, and that Ricoh, well I'm just IN LOVE with that camera. Best compact I've ever owned. I've owned so many of them too.

Happy New Year, Kevin! As a Fujifilm X-T3 landscape and product photographer, I am extremely pleased with the image quality I get from this camera, combined with the stellar, sharp Fujinon XF optics. However, I am researching a small, light "travel camera", as I don't want to expose my X-T3 system to the vagaries of landscape photography in a beach/ocean setting. For that very limited, occasional use, I was considering such cameras as the Fuji X70, Sony a6000 kit, Panasonic LX100II, or possibly the Oly OMD-EM1 II, or Sony RX100V. However, based on other test reviews of the X70 (or even the fixed 28mm lens of the X-T100x series), more than one have said that the fixed 23 or 28mm fujinon lens just is not that sharp, especially when compared to that on the Ricoh GR series. My MAIN criteria are image SHARPNESS and detail retention, and ability to retain such detail when possibly printed to 20x24". (Thus, my hesitancy to go m4/3.). Plus, I'd like to keep total budget for both camera and lens to around $1000. And, FYI, I'm a stills guy, so don't shoot video. Based on this, which system would you recommend for maximum sharpness/compact form factor? Thank you!

I don't have a video myself but it's essentially a manual focusing technique where you focus at (say) 5ft to 10ft and know that everything in the "zone" will be in focus. Lots of info on the web if you search.

I finally got an X70 thanks to this video... and the settings you mention on your website... My question is, for an occasion like this: a wedding, what do you use to carry the WLC-X70, since is it something heavy and bulky to carry in your pocket or jacket? Do you have a small bag for everything? (I have assumed that you were going as a guest and not as a photographer, in which case it would be obvious that you would bring a suitable bag for the photographic equipment) Thanks in advance 😊

Hi I'm looking for a camera for taking photos with my friends and family and take photos of the scenes i like so i want a camera that i can carry around with me all the time but at the same time i want it to be enough for getting into photography coz it's going to be my first camera and it will show if i would go on with photography. Also i would shoot videos so thats important for me and a lot of people suggested sony a6000 but I'm not sure about it coz i don't really think I'm good at editing and it's colours are kinda seems cold to me. So what would you suggest? Thanks already. Also I'm a student so I'm not looking for expensive ones.
@paulv84537 жыл бұрын
Maybe I can give you my 2 cents. I'm a huge Fujifilm fan. I own many of them but one of my favorite little cameras is a Panasonic G6. It's a micro 4/3 camera but takes amazing 1080p video and take amazing stills as well. They go for about $300 USD used on eBay. Super easy to use, colors are good, kit lens has image stabilization & the video auto focus is amazing. Check out this KZbin video done with the kit lens here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGnFl4x-m8aVp7M. Also check out this Instagram user instagram.com/levfel/ he uses both the G6 & a Canon 80D but he shows what the G6 can do. I hope that helps. Don't use Fujifilm for video. If all you're looking for is a camera for stills, then Fujifilm is it.
@tunaaydogdu87417 жыл бұрын
Paul V. Okay then i look up to g6 cause i don't think ill be doing still photography much, cause mostly i want to capture moments like when I'm with friends i would just take a photo or just shoot a video, i wouldn't say lets take a photo and pose. But also i would like to improve my photography skills like i would like to do some street photography. And it sounds like g6 can do these. Thank you sooo much for the suggestion and even giving an answer.

I've been hearing rumours of an F80 with the 24MP sensor. I think the main reason they discontinued the X70 wasn't because it was unsuccessful but because the manufacture stopped making the 16Mp sensor.

These photos are why I use my piece of junk iPod camera for. When you don't care about IQ, and are just going for creativity. X-70 helps that it also has the IQ. I ended up going for the XE2-S as my junk pocket camera just to get that variety of focal ranges if I want. That and it was about £350 cheaper.

They are both X-Trans so quality is comparable. However, X100F has a bigger MP count and is X-Trans III so I would say you will get better image quality, though probably not by a huge amount, from the X100F.
