@@lexbluezz yes it does! Always shoot at 12,800 with the fx3, zve1, and a7siii in low light as a starting base.

Great test! Really shows the difference. I shot many low light scenarios with the Xh2s and it was very capable with just minimal light. The first time I shot in pitch black moonlight with the fx3 I couldn’t believe how clean the image was past 12800 iso. Literally all the way up to 40k it was super clean. There’s magic in that sensor. 😂.

Well I was shooting a DJ event last night and I’m glad I have the fx3 with me because my xt4 (photography camera for the event) was really struggling with a f1.2 lens at 5000 ISO. I was shooting at 40,000 iso on the Sony and once I brought it into davinci resolve I was able to get a very clean beautiful image. I was shooting in 16:9 but was still able to crop in to 9:16 to get footage for Instagram as well.

X-H2 series don’t really have a true native ISO, but the AMP+ADC combo does some weird shifting to provide the 200%DR and 400%DR settings. Lowers analog gain and shifts shadows up

I am shocked by how noisy the FX3 was before ISO 12800. In fact when watching the video I was thinking the video on the right must be the X-H2s - how wrong was I. ISO 10000 on the FX3 is basically unusable. However at ISO 12800 on the FX3 you can see the gloves of the zoom ring which is impressive. This is the most useful comparison I have seen on this topic.

So you should just use the FX3 only with the base iso's. 800 or 12800 in SLOG3 scine. No rocket science

Listen man if you don’t care to see what the ISO range looks like that’s ok but a lot of other people want to see and they want to see what the image looks like with noise reduction done in post.

if Fuji would put more effort instead of just popping out variety of cameras i think they could really start competing with Sony and Canon at the very least. It has the potential to be really good, but lack of communication and the feeling that they aren't serious about the firmware development anymore "kaizen" is kind of demoralizing.

@@oregonduc I will say that I agree to an extent. They really did mess up the firmware bad but fixed a lot of issues with firmware 7.1. To be fair things are not much better in the Sony world either. My fx3 lost some features and gained some other ones. Also we just recently had a firmware update that was bricking a lot of fx3’s so there’s that lol!

@@adnan_velic oh yeah i saw some videos on the bricking situation for the FX3. and that person who made the video was going to be charged a huge sum of money to fix it until more people started raging against the machine and Sony backtracked and fixed it.

Exactly, a smaller pixel gives a smaller noise! ​​That is why even at basic ISO FX3 is noisier than Fuji! If you want to get the cleanest images with a large dynamic range, you will have to choose a full-frame matrix with a small pixel pitch and suppress noise in post, when shooting RAW! I think the future of video cameras is not for a large pixel but for a small pixel, but let's be reasonable for a full-frame matrix so that diffraction does not spoil the picture, a reasonable limit will be 60 MP! And yes, the GH7 when shooting in RAW at ISO 4000 with noise reduction achieved the same purity as the GH6 at 2000. Here you have the magic of RAW. The only thing is that most people do not have powerful computers for noise reduction, they will have to choose a large pixel

@@adnan_velic if s1RII will shoot in Proress 422 with a matrix of 60 MP it is the best (especially considering that Q3 at ISO 25000 has very organic noise on video on a 60 MP matrix!)! Well, I do not even consider Sony A1 because of the non-switchable noise reduction, getting high DD on graphs at the expense of destroying details in the shadows of video, this is a strange strategy. Since most of the image details are not in the highlights, they are in the shadows!

I subscribed and like the video for your efforts bro lol You kinda click baited me lol But it’s cool lol IMO a professional or not, it’s no way someone looking at these cameras would would compare them for video in low light! And not understand the tech behind a 12mp Sony Full frame sensor and compare it to 26mp crop sensor in the efforts to compare their light capabilities. For the price of these to use for video I’m 100 percent sure they know the tech behind both lol I clicked the video because I thought I was missing something that you discovered lol 😅 you got me for sure!

I personally was very surprised with how well the xh2s performs throughout its entire ISO range. Some of the ISO ranges on the fx3 are really not useable in my opinion and that’s very important for some people to see.

I’ve got my eye on the Sony a7S III for one, but I’m still figuring out the second one-maybe the Fujifilm X-H2S? (Something cheaper than the A7S III, just so you know.) TIA.

Not quite sure what the point of this video was? Pure physics says full frame over APS-C in low light - we all know this. People choose APS-C for different reasons - low light is never one of them. By the way - your audio disappeared at about 3:18. Maybe focus on that a little but instead?

Hey thanks for watching. I explained in the beginning why I’m doing this test. Also not all FF cameras are made the same. The fx3 happens to be the best low light camera of them all. This is a test many people wanted to see. If you don’t that’s fine. I intentionally left the audio out at 3:18. I wanted people to focus on the actual results and not my voice or a song.

Normal use: only iso 800 or 12800 on a FX3. Use ND to stop down from high base iso. And you expose correctly. Test what people want to see (I guess not people who actually film) has no real purpose (Unconscious incompetence group I guess). So many nocturnal shooters it seems ;) Somehow I never see clips or movies this enormous group of users make.

I’m 100% sure you’re never going to see someone’s wedding work or restaurant work or any event work from someone owning these cameras. There are people who seriously consider one or the other camera and they want to see how much better the fx3 is. I never said the xh2s was going to win I said here is the test you decide which one suited your needs. What is wrong with that? I have a good amount of people thanking me for doing this yet you two here are complaining about some nonsense. If you don’t like the video just give me a thumbs down and move on. But to say oh this is obvious or w.e is just nonsense man.
