Roman Fox - IBUS would be perfect in combination with their primes. Considering they originally said their mount wasn’t big enough to have IBIS, then they produced the XH-1, and Panasonic and Pentax has had IBIS in smaller bodies, so maybe it’s a matter of technology and patents. I’m not a film-maker, so personally not concerned if they separate out the film features to an XH-2, but would really like the IBIS in return in the XT-4.

I am a semi pro shooter, mostly for American football. The main camera is a Nikon D500 with a 70 to 200 2.8 , and I have been using a Sony a 6300 50mm 1.8 for sideline photos and celebrations after scoring. I need to switch back-and-forth immediately between cameras, and the Sony will take several seconds to start up, often make me miss pictures. Does the XT3 start up immediately? Fuji can shoot RAWs in lossless compressed mode and it truly is lossless. Puts the size of each raw to 20-30 MB. Other than that I really agree with you about how it's just plain fun to shoot with a Fuji camera. The knobs and aperture rings are a joy to use. I have an X-T2 and an X-E2 and compared to my Canon 6D mark 2, they just get used more because it's not such a hassle to bring all the equipment. The lenses are so small and just grabbing my messenger bag with my whole Fuji kit instead of dragging my huge Canon backpack makes for an easier experience.

I like Astia Soft curve the most. It is my default in all conditions. The skin tones is much (and I mean much) better than Canon default Portrait mode. I used to shoot Canon 5dm4 with best lenses in years prior to Fuji release. Now I look at those images, and I look at last year's images shot with Fuji in similar situations. Fuji colors are much better, colors in general, and the skin tones especially. Weather sealing is not that great on Fuji compared to Canon. On mine dials stuck together after mild exposure to rain. I had to use WD-40 to unstuck them :):)

Regarding covering up your brand, in my view it has the opposite effect. If the owner of a camera thinks it's worth covering up the logo and models, it must be valuable. You don't see tourist with Canon Rebels cover up their logo's after all. Only shooter with expensive cameras usually do this. Just a counter thought. Great video otherwise, love Fuji myself :)

That's the approach I like !!! I thought I was the only one using the gaffer tape. Still shooting with dinosaur X-T1(as well as Ricoh GR) in 2023 and now choosing between X-T5 and X-T3. XT-4 left me cold. X-T3 is defo a better value now, 40 mp is unnecessary to me even if I do crop my street shots a bit (don't we all), I care more about the RAW files flexibility and I guess 24 mp will have an edge. But no IBIS and low light AF in XT3 might be a deal breaker, although I suspect X-T5 AF is not perfect either. I don't care about videos. And I'm afraid I'm married to the FUJI: too many lenses.

Nice specs but major overheating issues in 4K for extended recording as seen in other reviews (30-35 min max before the camera bakes and shuts down). Why the omission? Absolute deal-breaker for me. Imagine shooting a wedding and telling your clients to wait 10 minutes for the camera to snooze for the ring ceremony or miss it altogether, or doing an interview and telling your subject to hold that thought for 10 minutes - forget it the interview is a bust ... stop with the hype and don't fool people into buying this deeply flawed camera. Fix this Fuji and I'd buy it in a heartbeat over the a6600 for sure. Sony fixed their a-series overheating issues with the a6600 so I bought it despite being 8bit 4.2.0 vs 10bit 4.2.0 for the Fugi (internal). The Sony has a great battery now which puts the XT-3's to shame,; unquestionably AF superior, and features in-camera stabilization - which can only get with the XT-4 which is even worse for overheating than the XT-3 shooting 4K video. If all you want is 1080p and stills then buy the Fugi. If not, Sony a6600 has this camera beat hands down.

Roman Fox Art is great if your camera does not shut down. The X-T3/4 if you shoot short clips and do not run the camera for extended times. Great camera but terribly flawed for doc shooting or event coverage. See this video. The camera overheats consistently at longer running times: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3umiWR_fdRpsMk

Roman Fox Yes for those who primarily shoot stills the X-T3 & 4 are the better APS-C sensor mirrorless choice until Fugi fixes the chronic overheating issues. For those who primarily shoot video the a6600 is the better camera although out-spec’d by the Fugi offerings. As far as overall performance for both stills and video, in a small form factor, the amazing Sigma FP has them both beat and it’s full-frame.
