i stand by farenheit making more sense. 0 degrees? it's cold as balls, 100 degrees? Hot as hell. 90, still hot, 80, hot, 70, we're hot but managable. It all makes sense

Whenever I visit out of the US, and I check the weather my phone goes to Celsius―Every single time I have to google what does this mean in Farenheit 😂😂

as someone who is also celsius-challenged the easiest quick conversion from C to F for me is to double and add 30 (or subtract 30 and divide by two if you're converting from F to C). It's not a perfect conversion, but it gets it close enough for mental math instead of finding a conversion calculator (e.g., 20C = 20 x 2 + 30 = 40 + 30 = 70F). The real conversion would get you somewhere around 68F with a calculator, but 70 is close enough to make sense in my head.

Fahrenheit was made by a German/Polish man who did studies on sea water, 0°F was when sea water froze and 100°F was when it boiled. You'll NEVER guess what his name was 🤭

the american experience is having to learn both metric and imperial systems growing up lol. tbh i prefer fahrenheit bc you can be more precise when adjusting the air conditioning. other than that, i don't see the big deal whether or not someone uses fahrenheit or celsius. whichever one you grew up with is easier to you

Celcius = confusion Fahrenheit = lower numbers mean cold, higher numbers mean hot; idk what's so hard to understand about this
@mapol8088Ай бұрын
Lmao Celsius is easier since it has an exact number of boiling and freezing points. Meanwhile Fahrenheit is confusing since you have to guess how hot or cold something is since it has higher number than Celsius which is literally on 100 to 0.
@SAO_SuperFanGirlАй бұрын
@@mapol8088 but you can tell when something is hot or by touching it with your hand. If it burns, it’s too f*cking hot. If it’s cold and also burns, it’s very f*cking cold. 😂

@@SAO_SuperFanGirl I mean in Celsius it also has that scale, low to high numbers too.....🤔🤔🤔 (I'm also bias towards Celsius like Fu- chan ; as I grew up with it; makes much more sense to me & Fahrenheit it's confusing to me too.
@SAO_SuperFanGirlАй бұрын
@@babbelbubbla I think I know what the problem is. Celsius is good for cooking. Fahrenheit is good for outside temperature. Celsius can tell you the exact temperature for boiling water and such, meanwhile with Fahrenheit it’s easy to tell if you need to dress warm or dress cool when going outside (and inside too).
@mapol8088Ай бұрын
@@SAO_SuperFanGirl that is true but Celsius is for you to know that if it's boiling it means it's a 100C hot so anything that is not boiling automatically means it's 100C below, which is easier to understand than Fahrenheit that doesn't even have a boiling point.
