The opposite happens in Ecuador when clubs from other countries play in Quito. Due to the high altitude other teams have trouble catching their breath so whenever the ball went out of play the ball boys were instructed to immediately give the ball to the opponent. This prevented the opposition from taking a small break getting the ball and didn't let them catch their breath. This was done to try to wear them down quicker lol.

On the Peter Crouch Podcast, they did a segment on "sh*thousery" and asked people to submit instance of when they'd done some troll-y things in their careers. One of 'em was a ball boy for a Premier League team. According to him, the manager told the ballboys to try and get under the skin of the opposing players that week. So, the kid gave one of the guys some crap as he was giving him a ball. And then he scored. And pointed directly at the kid. And then he scored again. The next day, the manager fired him as a ballboy.

@@TimBowSpice So, you didn't see the first ball go into the stands, and didn't notice that the kid didn't keep eye contact on the goalie because he was tracking the ball? Kid wasn't violating that rule, at least. It says he needs to make eye contact before TOSSING the ball to the player. It says nothing about handing the ball and maintaining eye contact. The only thing that might have been "douchey" about the kid was whether he was giving preferential treatment to his own team with regard to the speed of his delivery. I didn't see any clips of him interacting with the home team, so I make no judgment. Maybe you watched the game and saw the kid only stall for the visitors? If so, great; if not, you're possibly guilty of being a "complete douche."
@TheHeadincharge

@@andrewneedham3281Look mate, you clearly don’t know the rules or watch the game very much, so maybe pipe down just a bit. The unwarranted confidence some of y’all have about things you clearly know nothing about is honestly wild. Regardless, the fact that the kid didn’t toss the ball and walked slowly is in clear violation of the rule, regardless of the reason why. None of us can say for sure whether the kid did it on purpose or not, but broadly speaking, this type of thing does happen on purpose all the time and ball boys are commonly instructed or encouraged to stall for time if it helps the home team.

A light shove is a nice fuck you in my opinion, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I mean if you've met kids you understand they don't exactly play by any polite rules. I think he shouldn't have shoved the kid for posterity's sake and just eating the time loss and hoping the ref accounts for it or reprimand the ball boy. years ago, I saw a Chilean football match in La Serena. The stadium had a lot of room behind the goals, unlike the one shown in the videa, and one of the local radio announcers was positioned behind the goal defended by home team. Near the end of the game, the home team was ahead, but the visitors were pressing. A shot on goal missed and rolled over near the announcer. He kicked it further away from the field to the annoyance of the visiting team players. The referee saw this, and threw the announcer off the field! Caribineros escorted the man to make sure, so the announcer used the moment to interview them on air. You can't make this stuff up! Anyway, that time-killing ploy was similar to what the goal keeper in the video thought was going on with the ball boy.

If you've ever seen a game after the 90 minute mark, you've seen guys on the winning side dropping to the ground or just taking forever to do anything trying to secure the game. And yes, it is a popular sport but think of how much more popular it would be if they got rid of the obviously fake injuries and time wasting.

Don’t watch “footy” but that kid took his damn time with the ball. Is it normal for ball boys to favour their team a bit? This kid either gets an A+ if this is part of the “home field advantage”, or an F for poor sportsmanship.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYu6YpKCqZimeK8 Similar to baseball, football has its own set of hidden tactics. With baseball its framing pitches and stealing signs/picking off runners. In football it's diving/drawing fouls and clock management. With all of these, I strongly believe that there's a way to do it right, and a way to do it wrong. Astros stealing signs was wrong. Raheem Sterling diving is wrong. Chelsea v. Swansea ball boy was wrong. But with Pep Guardiola's ball boys and with the Bournemouth ball boy, they were doing it well. Wasted time on the clock to the benefit of their team without making too much of an offending fuss for the overall flow of the game.

Probably not necessary for most, but: - Fulham keeper wants the ball back quickly after the penalty kick goal because they're down 0-2 and the clock is ticking, so the Bournemouth player taking the ball out of the net himself was absolutely, 100% him trolling. - Fulham keeper, remembering that previous incident, likely assumed the Bournemouth employed ballboy was also trolling him. - Ballboy may or may not have been being cheeky by not tossing the ball, but he _was_ trying to keep his eyes on the other ball he needed to retrieve because it was in the hands of spectators, and there's always a risk a spectator will try to hide a ball or something so they can keep it (match balls are like 200 bucks). Perhaps the ballboy was reluctant to make a no-look toss of the first ball to the Fulham keeper. That's plausible. - The Bournemouth players claiming to be upset by the push was definitely half-gamesmanship -- they're up in the score, it's to their advantage to use the opportunity to waste time, and maybe even get the Fulham keeper ejected -- remember, that guy already had a yellow card.

He shouldn't have shoved him but ball boys getting involved in the game is getting ridiculous. Had it been the home team he would have thrown the ball instantly instead of strolling around looking distracted lol. I don't like to see it at any game, it's not clever and it's not gamesmanship, they are there to pick up balls and give them back into play, that's it. Imagine if a ball boy did this in tennis or something where they cheat for their home country player, nobody would stand for it. I don't know why it's tolerated in football.

Leno is trying to delay the PK and distract the taker when he gets booked not necessarily mad, pretty common. The ball boy is definitely intentionally wasting time. Ball boys are usually academy players of the home team. And if Bournemouth arnt winning I don't think their players do anything there, one of those things were they make a big deal of it to burn time and kill off the game, if they're losing and chasing they won't give AF. Do more football breakdowns, love it.

It's the "Premier League" not the "Premiere League". Common mistake I've noticed Americans make. premier Premier is another way of saying “first” or “best” like the premier ice cream store on the block that always has a line snaking around the corner. In a political sense a premier is a head of state. premiere A premiere is the first showing of a work of art. A movie premiere often takes place in Los Angeles or New York, with stars in attendance and the iconic red carpet rolled out to greet them.

This is what I love about the Prem 😂 ballboys, fans and players are all shithousers lmao. Ballboys are 100% part of the team, and you can watch their pace for their team versus the other. Coaches on the sidelines will often try to intercept the ball first so they can get it back in play faster, same with subs on. Ballboys and subs are also known to chat a bit of shit during the game and cause a bit of tension with the players on the pitch. The fan interaction adds so much personality to the games, never quite know if a kid will get shoved by an athlete lmao

Ball boys should do their job no matter what the score is. Unsportsmanlike conduct such as time wasting by players can be punished, just because the ball boys can't be punished, it shouldn't be a blank cheque to do what they want. Football at that level is a million dollar business, so being involved at any scope should mean you do your job professionally. The groundsman won't destroy the pitch on one side to give the home team an advantage, the media crew won't suddenly turn on the music to distract the away team, so the ball boys have to act neutral and professionally as well. It's the job of the fans in the stands to make the game as hard as possible for the visiting team.

I think it's perhaps because there is an area of law called 'copyright' that tries to ensure that creators get paid & are thus motivated to keep creating. If Jomboy make a higher quality version then the audience might feel they don't need to buy the product, thus affecting the Premier League's profits & breaching copyright, thereby causing the Premier League to make copyright claims which demonetize Jomboys videos However, it perhaps can be argued that copyright wouldn't be violated because Jomboy isn't affecting their profits at all because he's selling a completely different product because he's adding brilliant & funny analysis. So the answer to your question might be because KZbin is shit in that it is allowing content owners e.g. the Premier League to demonetize videos unfairly.
