Are these lists based on who listened? Because I've never listened to Frank Ocean so he wouldn't have been in my top 1000. All the other albums in the top 10 I've listened to and can dig it. (Lauren would actually be top 30-50 for my list)

Frank Ocean in Top 5...???🤔🤔🤔🤔

I think Lemonade was a great album production wise. I’d probably put it in the top 20 but not 10. The College Dropout and TPAB should’ve made the list imo. I think a Red Hot Chili Pepper’s album, Coldplay and Gorillaz should’ve made the list too.

LEMONADE really is one of the best bodies of work of all time. a cohesive journey through the stages of grief weaved together with stellar vocals, insane production and poignant lyrics. it topped several best album lists in 2016, and best album of the decade lists in 2019, deservedly so. and the FILM! the poetry interspersed with each track to further push the narrative of generational trauma, infidelity, violence, grief and healing 😮💨 it’s heartbreaking. the acting, the sets, special effects, choreography, the looks, the cinematography… all stunningly breathtaking. it was unheard of at the time for an artist of that magnitude to STILL be pushing boundaries in such a way. fast forward to 2024 and she’s still doing the same with the reclamation trilogy. i’m grateful to live in a time where i can witness and fully appreciate the art.

There will always be debates on this topic. I am actually really happy to see Lauryn Hill get props but I do not think that the album is the #1 album of all time. It could be within the top 20. Nile Rogers know that that album being put at #1 is cap. You can see it in his response. To me "Thriller" and "Songs in A Minor" are the unquestionables of this top 10.

I absolutely LOVE and AGREE that Miseducation is on top. I love the four of them were honest when they were surprised as well, but that album is 25 years old and it’s STILL a non-skip album and it’s influenced 25 years of artists. I loved their discussion about it and the list. I actually really love the list in general. You look at Rolling Stone’s list, or something similar, and it’s practically all white bands from the 70s. There’s more influences out there than rock and roll bands from the 70s, and for me that’s Lauryn Hill. It’s a seminal album and I don’t care if it’s the only thing she ever makes- it’s perfect.

Whoever put yall in charge made a huge mistake. Especially missing sgt pepper, in rainbows, rubber soul, and so many more. But the biggest dumb decision was putting a Taylor album at 18 ABOVE revolver , dark side, and so many much better things. Same with Billie at 30 tbh. When that’s not even her best album.
