I don’t compete but my Glock 20 was a challenge for me to reach the trigger safety. I too chose an Overwatch Precision trigger and have fallen in love with it. I now have no issues reaching the trigger like before. It kinda feels like a thick Glock 17, LOL. Thanks for the video and great info. 👍👍

Very good video! I would love to do a match like that, it looks really cool! Clothing makes a big difference, I have several pairs of Kuhl pants, they are great and lightweight and move freely!

Great video. Towards the end, you mentioned traveling to the matches. You mentioned flying. Did you fly to this match? If so, we’d love to know more about flying with all that equipment.
@tessahbooth7 ай бұрын
Yes, I did fly to this match! It's probably time to do an updated flying with guns video. I'll keep that in mind! It sure was a lot to travel with that's for sure.
@danieljungshoots7 ай бұрын
I compete in a lot of USPSA, IPSC, and PCSL matches and travel to all their majors and nationals. Travel with guns is not hard, a lot of people thin it's hard but it's not. You just go buy a huge gun case (I use a pelican case), I separate my upper and lower for my rifle, and my handgun (CZ shadow 2) is inside the pistol case that it came with (with a lock) and put into the pelican case. I put all my magazines and it needs to be EMPTY, no loose ammo, inside my pelican case. then put locks in my pelican case and declare the firearm into the airline you are flying with. Now I ship all my ammo to the range where the matches are being held, but every airline has a limit on how much ammo you can ship. And the ammo must be inside a box or a case. Once again no loose ammo.

When I occasionally run my PDP (great gun!) I use a safariland. Get one for the P320 and attack it with a heat gun. Doesn't take too much work to make it work (securely) for a PDP.
@kde714507 ай бұрын
My question is what your preference for EDC pistol. i’ve shot the PPQ and really like the stock trigger. i’ve yet to try any PDP ( at moment i’m happy with my G19/4) but Walther has my interest
@tessahbooth7 ай бұрын
I personally carry an Sig P365 for my day to day, and sometimes a Glock 42. I would love to carry a Walther, but they don't make anything that's small enough for me to comfortably carry. I'll be the first to try it if they ever do make something compact like the P365 though!

Red dots are easier to use than LVPOs. A lot of things need to be perfect for an LVPO to be fast like a red dot.

On the rifle setup it looks like you changed the furniture as well as the trigger and safety. For most two and three gun matches the dot plus magnifier is not optimal. If you enjoy this you are going to need to work on a rifle that you can carry all day. I would recommend a lighter profile barrel, maybe with a radiator on it (like JP makes). A lighter handguard, probably carbon fiber. An adjustable gas system (shoots softer). A lighter BCG and some kind of captured buffer system. A 1 lbs (approximate) LPVO in an ultra light mount. This kind of setup should be sub eight pounds and preform significantly better.

I don’t understand why Daniel Defense can’t put a better trigger in their rifles for the money they charge.
@sar4x4747 ай бұрын
Perhaps it may be due to a belief that most people who have that kind of coin to drop on an AR will likely have a specific interest in a particular trigger and will likely change it out anyway. Just guessing.
@Ballistic_Bull7 ай бұрын
They need that money to pay for their legal fees 😕
@damonharrington29487 ай бұрын
DD has stated the reason. They use milspec because most will upgrade the trigger regardless & if they did they’d charge more anyways. There is a DDM4V7 that comes with a Geiselle. Their special editions came with trigger upgrades 💰💰 💰!
