To answer your questions - No this wasn't how we planned to run the shootout - Yes the format was caused by the cancellation on Saturday and Sunday becoming a bumper day - Yes it was meant to be top 30 in reverse order - No we don't plan on doing it this way again - Yes, we are making it free for you to watch 👀

shame about the shootout for the past 2 years, the timing only seems to work some of the time with no sector splits, and poor coverage of several runs (i.e runs not being independent, or filming a dakar truck of the rally stage instead) the formatting also seemed very strange, i feel like it should’ve been run in age order since we weren’t able to have qualifying but it seems like the fastest cars were sent out first, then a winner declared far too early leaving everyone quite confused

That being said, I hope that on that day when I finally visit, you all will have returned to the traditional lineup, this year's shootout felt haphazard and I just didn't enjoy it as much as I usually have for the last couple years, there was no real feeling of suspense or grandeur. It feels like you felt like you needed to do a shootout to keep us happy, and you were frustrated at the weather and cancellation and just got it over with as quickly as possible, which meant the fast cars going first and hoping the slow cars get a chance to race, but that cuts out the entire build up of emotions, I genuinely didn't care about ANY of the cars because there was no progression, here's a random clipshow of fast cars that you could have found on any other KZbin channel, sorry, but it's not like I don't care about the cars, you had a Calsonic GTR ffs, it's just so jumbled up that it's hard to root for anyone.

That McMurtry Speirling done a 38.79 I timed it on my stop watch upon play back double checked it twice. Shocking it smashed the McLaren by over 5 seconds.

Only Rory Butcher's Toyota? I saw Ash Sutton's Ford in the background when Travis Pastrana was coming up to the starting line. Why wasn't Ash Sutton running? And where're the other BTCC cars? Plus, does Travis know about the BTCC? And did he know that Ash won the 2017 Championship in a Subaru Levorg GT?

I counted just over 38 for the mcmurtry. I reckon that time would have been the new record

Attended the FoS just once, way back in 1996.. Really must go again. Are the timed runs only for cars? Is there a separate competition for bikes?

I don’t think bikes do the shootout

Not entirely sure why "saturdays cancellation" is a reason for this format? Have all cars wanting to participate, do the shootout as usual, with slower cars first - or just randomise the running order of the cars, so the audience doesn't know what to expect next. 15 minutes in they have awarded someone, despite another 30 minutes of cars running up the hill. Bizarre.

@@Mr.Higginbotham Yes and no...I like hearing the engine sounds more. Apart from the Rimac Washing machine. then the Porsche comes screaming out and I just wanted the commentators to shut up.
