I talked to Sof guys that were in many conflicts. They said they never used full auto in combat.

I would try the zipper technique and not try to fight the muzzle rise so hard

You should try this again with a strong muzzle break. Great vid btw!

Great and educative video. Looking to buy my first AR-15 and I was just wondering what brand is that one that you was using in the video. Cordially thanks.

Full auto in a rifle/sub gun can be very effective and quite devastating in CQB if you don’t have to worry about hitting innocent people. Problem is cops have to worry about that so they can’t really utilize full auto to its full potential so it’s much less useful for them. But if you’re a bad guy or you know you’re fighting where there shouldn’t be any innocents or risk of shooting people who shouldn’t be shot, then at very close range it’s very effective in a low recoil high ROF weapon like the m4. however 30 round mags go extremely quick so either having extended mags or firing controlled bursts will help minimize that issue. Also , fire superiority is critical to winning a gunfight and volume of fire is obviously a major factor in winning fire superiority and suppression of the enemy. In addition, full auto incapacitates hostiles faster than semi and every second counts in a firefight. Full auto may also help against body armor where many very fast repeat strikes against ceramic armor especially, can cause the armor to fail and rounds to slip through. I’d MUCH rather have a select fire capable weapon than a neutered semi auto only rifle if I were going into combat. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. If it weren’t important the military would be issuing semi auto only…

There's a lot to address here. First of all, the premise of this video was not that full auto was never useful. The goal of this video was to show that it is not as effective as some may think. The phrase, "if you're a bad guy or you know you're fighting where there shouldn't be any innocents..." is a problematic statement. Why would we even be considering that we are a bad guy? Of course bad guys don't care where or who they shoot. We, on the other hand, do care because we are good guys. It is very rare to be in a scenario that you are 100% certain that no innocent person is within harms way. Shot discipline is always important. That is not to say that you can't be disciplined on full auto, but a well trained shooter can be almost as fast with semi automatic and have even greater recoil control. I agree that there are times when full auto fire is beneficial. As you said, obtaining fire superiority is critical in winning a gunfight. Full auto fire is useful for that, but that is not to say semi automatic cannot also be used. I did not advocate that full auto is useless. I also did not advocate that civilians should not be allowed to own machine guns. On the contrary, I believe it is your right to own whatever firearm you want. Did you watch the whole video? If I misunderstood your comment, I apologize. However, I wanted to clarify my position for anyone who may be reading the comments.
