@@EncorePPFtint A Garage would be great but to start out and test the market I'm going to offer a mobile service and keep my overhead low. If it works maybe get a shop to work out of. Facebook, marketplace is big over here and word of mouth is like wildfire, everybody knows everybody so I'm just going to try and get the word out. I used to use Suntek a lot but I found a good xpel distributor here and I like the material so I'll use that

Thank you for the feedback. I have not heard of that channel. I'll have to take a look. Bulking and kits - I do a bit of both. As well as adjusting kits to fit my coverage expectations. Have you considered kit's that you adjust before cutting them out? It can be a huge timesaver.

Just curious, say you were laying a matte finish ppf on this car, or any car with a similar tail light pocket. How would you go about the tail light area? Just do it the same, and then go back and add an inlay to cover the remaining visual of the gloss paint?

Thank you! I'm guessing you've done one before? It was a bit of a puzzle. You kind of put it together as you go. Sometimes I'm surprised at how it all works out. I came across your 4C videos completely by accident. Even if I decide to pay someone it gives me a good idea how the process should go. My only qualm is I would have taken the red cover out of the boot. Those cost $450.

100% agree! I did end up taking it out during another part of theinstallationl . I thought people were going to lay into me (here on yourltube) for not removing it, but they haven't. It totally should have been taken out before I started that install! I was quite annoyed with myself.

Got XRPlus Xpel PPF + ceramic coating done on new car today but the installation were not seamless like this car. There were many imperfections like bubbles n loose edges. They told me its normal to have little bubbles here and there and the loose edges will stick down with heat gun after the 3 weeks curing period. Is this supposed to happen?

Maybe. Some seams are normal when installing kits (patterns cut by the computer) and should be expected for most PPF installations. You'll find some seams in some of my other installation videos. Bubbles and loose edges do not sound normal. Maybe a very small imperfection here and there is okay but not great. Where are you located? You could send me pictures @ [e-mail], and I could see what you are talking about. Then I could give you a better opinion.

You have some patience! What is your slip solution? I use a hybrid gel slip solution.

Thanks for the comment. How long have you been installing PPF? I'll have to look into the hybrid gel. What is your ratio of gel and water? Or do you you use it right out of the container? I use seventh generation disk soap. The ratio is 7-12ml (normally 9) to each gallon of water. 3 years. I use Xpel ultimate plus. 50%gel 50%RO water and 7th gen. I mix 150 Oz gel 150 Oz water 2 Oz isopropyl alcohol 36ml 7th gen. Depending on the temperature I fluctuate the 7th gen. When I use straight slip I use 150 Oz ro water 1 Oz isopropyl and 12ml 7th gen. I have been playing with my solution with 7th gen for the past 2 years😳 I keep a written record of all my different solutions and I think it is dialed in finally. I have not had the greatest experience with straight slip, but really have not played around with it enough. In the winter I wrap my kegs in car seat heaters to try to keep my solution warm. @@EncorePPFtint

No, not for the rear bumper. Even if there was, 2015 is pretty old, and I'm not sure I'd trust it. I did use the kit on the door. Well, I did edit it a bit in the computer before cutting it. That video will come out within the next month.

You just have to get in there and do it! :) It's the only way to learn. Try stretching some mirrors. You'll get to learn the limits of the film. Then, move on to the harder parts. You'll get it. How many cars have you installed PPF on?

I was quite pleased(and the customer as well) with the results. But looking at this bumper it is obvious that there are so many things i have to learn :)

That's right, I remember talking to you. Did that AMG have the night package with all of the gloss black trim on the bumper? That really adds to the time during the installation.

@@EncorePPFtintTook me a full week from washing, decontamination, some touch-ups and after some polish and then the full install working alone. And of course how else could it be other than black trim package. The lower front lip proved to be a little challenging... Thanks for the videos... and happy holydays
