‪@thelogfather5002‬ put out a friendly challenge to see what other firewood producers to see how fast they can produce a full cord of wood with their machines. We used our BruteForce 16-14 Firewood processor. We did okay. Got hung up a bit when having to do a few resplits to make sure we were producing good sized firewood. All in all had a good time. Firewood making is not a race at the end of the day. It’s all about quality and safety. Hope everyone enjoyed.

Yeah not to bad. I’m all about safety. A cord an hr is fine with me. Keeps me on pace for my supply. I try to average about 35-40 cords a week. But if I can make a little more wood a little faster then I wouldn’t have to process as many hrs a week.

Thank man. Was fun. I may do another run if my new processor arrives before the dead line. We will see.

Nice work the crooked logs and wedge issues would have shaved some time off. Nice respectable time.
@Treestofirewood

Yeah I feel that was a good time. I know I could be close to 20min or sub 20. If the wedge didn’t move I know I would be.

When I heard about this challenge I figured this machine would shine. Sure it doesn't have all the creature comforts. The brute force in my opinion has the most efficient operator location

Yeah there’s always way to improve time. But 25/30min in my opinion on any machine is a good amount of wood. Ur yeah the position on these machines to me is the best. Great visibility and access. I may do another run at it. I know I can be sub 20min.

Yeah it’s not to bad. I figure if we do 6 cords a day I’m happy with that. Will put me at where I want to be with sales.

Yeah we would have had a little better time if the wedge stayed put. And yes my wife definitely helps out a lot. We all make a great team.

Not a bad run 👍 I expected a little faster but when dealing with the inconsistency of logs what can you do, it's not like you are cutting uniform wood. Good job, good hustle, good video 😊 The corrected time at the end after checking actual dimensions was closer to the 22 minutes I thought it would be. Thanks for the transparency.

That’s the thing that’s firewood. There’s a reason they are called firewood logs. They are all the rejects from the mill or tagged to be firewood logs. It’s just the name of the game. There will never be a day I don’t have crooked logs. And to be honest they are usually not an issue. I’ve averaged around 20-25min a cord when I run all day. I always get faster as the day goes. But I’d rather me safe and smooth.

Hey between you and me , if you scale of a full cord in 8’6” length add 5% for air . Them run 🏃‍♂️ it threw your processor is cord . Split firewood 🪵 take up more room in trailer or pick -up or ect. Way . A true cord in 8’6” length as a logger I give more pcs for the air between the logs 🪵, a little more in firewood 🪵 you will have repeat clients down the road for yrs to come . U tube is always about speed in wood 🪵 splitter or chainsaw. If you work 8 hrs or 12 hrs who put up the most wood 🪵 in a wk . 5 x 8 = 40 or 5 x12 = 60 hrs. Take a big wood processor do the math at 12 to 15 min a full cord . 😊

Yeah that’s a ton of wood. I just did the challenge because I thought it would be fun. When my new processor arrives I will give it another go and see. But I’m pretty sure I will be sub 20 with this next one.

I do have grizzly bars for the conveyor. I just don’t use them anymore. I usually split into my trailer and I can’t use them as I wouldn’t be able to split into trailer. By next processor I may use them but the plan is to get a disc cleaner to help separate all the debris.
