My Grandmother had a Machine. When was a kid I would put my hand on top of the agitator. Wish they still made these!

I definetely would like an in depth tour of all your GM Frigidaires restored or not(if possible obviously)... They tick boxes that no modern-thinking low-life person will ever know existed. Chrome and lighted control panels, porcelein cases and speckled tubs, so many other proper things... If I could only own a household of GM Frigidaires they'd be all the Unimatics and Pulsamatics. Preferably the 1947-48 Unimatics, their white holey porcelein tubs are glorious. If I had a whole launderette on the other hand I'd have every single Unimatic, Pulsamatic, Multimatic, Rollermatic and 1-18 that Frigidaire ever made.

I have quite a few of them. Not everything is functional at the moment let alone hooked up. My basement is a mess so a collection tour will have to be later on.

@@Gsohoover Completely understandable, similar case with my collection(mostly my clock collection, with regards to my washer collection it's mostly toy washers but I might buy a 1959 Hoovermatic soon? I dunno...). I'm in a rental atm.

I like how this machine is somewhat quieter than the '55 unimatic

Love that agitator. Too bad we can't take one like this and put it in our modern machines.

I appreciate these much more now. A machine this size could easily accomadate a heavy load of jeans and turn it over very well.

Brings back childhood memories. Fun to watch. Front load washers are much, much better though. They use 60% less water with far fewer moving parts so they last longer and don’t tear the clothes apart. 😂👍

I love your videos my friend. This is a beautiful old machine. Where in the world do you find parts for a machine this old?
@Gsohoover4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Having part numbers helps for sure. I have some parts for this machine from old Frigidaire dealers. Another thing is, you may have to break down machines for parts. Certain things can't be replicated (easily) and fixed without using another machine to help.

Where can I buy one of these?

My friends and I in the automaticwasher.org group call these machines the "multi-tragic" too! LOL.

Yes, that was the running joke and it has stuck ever since haha!
