Echoing this! A while back I realized I had so much stuff just sitting in my pantry and freezer, and I did a little challenge with myself where I didn’t buy groceries (other than the occasional gallon of milk or stick of butter) until I had cooked through the majority of the food I already had. It lasted weeks! I saved so much money. Such a worthwhile exercise and it forced me to get really creative.

Really cool to learn more about you and your life! It's also really refreshing to see someone my age being forthcoming about budgeting and saving up for things, or living paycheck to paycheck. It can be really isolating, especially in the 30-40 age group, to not have a ton of expendable income to go on vacations, buy toys, or do any of the things I see my peers enjoy. My son lives in Snohomish County Washington, in a rural area near Marysville his home cost over $800 thousand, 2 years ago. It would cost less than half that in Maryland or PA and even less in Virginia. I was looking at properties there and I can't even afford an old trailer home there. Home prices and townhouse prices are insane. My current home, a 10 year old 3 bedroom townhouse in a small town is only valued at $225 thousand. I can't figure out any way to afford to live out there near my son and his family unless I win the lottery. I really want to live near my grandchildren, son, his sweet wife but it's not possible unless I live illegally in a camper or tent or rent a bedroom. Sigh.

Hi friend, I worked at Starbucks for a year and the way I make iced coffee is how it’s done at coffee shops. You brew a batch of Double strength hot coffee, double strength is the important part because you are going to add ice to chill and dilute it to regular strength. Its basically “instant” iced coffee without having to wait for it to chill or cool.

BUT-- I am VERY glad I gave your vlog a chance because it was great!!😀 Of course, I should have known that based on what we've seen/heard from your other videos, lol! 😊While you were doing dishes, I felt like I should reach over there and help you out- like I would do if I was visiting a good friend! 💞 Looking forward to learning/hearing/seeing more.... This looks just like what my husband and daughter and I I did when we moved from our house in NV to TX (also to be closer to family) and we got an even bigger dumpster than you got lol. We were also liquidating our computer shop business as well so we tossed sooooo much stuff! 10 years worth of clutter is what I called it. We also listed so much on the local FB marketplace too. We also had a similar experience with selling our house though we had it sold for nearly double what we paid for it before we’d even officially listed it! 2021 was a crazy time in the housing market. It’s interesting to be self employed and dealing with a move. We ended up buying a cargo trailer and loaded it up to the brim and towed it with our RV. Luckily we had a free place to stay (with my in laws) while we shopped new places. It was the best decision ever. We’re super happy with how things went. 👍🏻We found our perfect place and the cargo trailer served as our own personal min storage once we got here. No monthly added expense. Also, that leftover rice mixture would be a great enchilada filling! I make mine like that and it’s our new favorite way to eat enchiladas (w/sauce and cheese and baked of course). So inexpensive too!
