We couldn't resist doing this one as part of the Sorted Eats Britain series... after all... we're English and that even appears in the title of this dish.
That said, we've given the breakfast a nod to Scotland too with some haggis and share how to cook the perfect full-English for a big crowd, so that everything is ready at the same time.

Nicole J This isn't the reason for obesity, It's soda instead of water and chips always at your side. Dessert every day as well. You could eat this every Sunday for breakfast, have it be a special weekly thing and remain healthy. I would know, I used to be.. wait hold on. One sec... uh, 27.2155 kg overweight.

We are a small metropolis in the Caribbean and there are lots of cultures that make one ultimate culture because most people are mixed up races lol I'd say breakfast can either be African, Indian or English! Bake and Saltfish, plantain chips and seasoned eggs (western eggs), juice, tea, sausages, paratha and pumpkin or Trini doubles...aloo pies ...toast with avocados...we eat everything with some avocados lol... its a staple side ....sometimes I just have lunch early lol

I am from Malaysia.. And our typical bfast would be nasi lemak literally translated as fatty rice. Basically it is rice cooked in coconut milk and served with condiments such as sambal (sweet and spicy chilli jam), fried dried anchovies, cucumber and eggs (fried or hard-boiled) .. Super delicious and nowadays Malaysians enjoy nasi lemak not only for breakfast but all-day long!

We Singaporeans often get a headache when it comes to deciding on what to have for breakfast because we are spoilt for choices! We can have roti prata, pandan waffles, kaya toast with butter, fried carrot cake, economic bee hoon, nasi lemak, half boiled eggs, porridge, sweet bean curd with fried dough fritters, etc for breakfast! And we often pair our breakfast with a cup of hot kopi (coffee)/ teh (tea)/ Milo (Chocolate Malt drink) :-P

I'm loving the addition of the haggis to the fry up! Something we do quite often in Scotland in cafes and the like, throw in those welsh cakes (they're kind of like potato scones after all) and you've got a full Scottish! For breakfasts though, the most traditional Scottish breakfast has to be porridge though. Nothing beats it, especially in winter!

Late to the party, but seeing that you guys just did a Filipino dish recently, I'll share you my favorite Filipino breakfast. We have these on weekends: Garlic fried rice with Tocino (marinated pork that's cooked by briefly boiled and then fried in oil), plus a fried egg on top. Filipinos call this Tocilog = tocino + itlog (egg). It's one of many "tselogs" or dishes featuring meat, rice and egg that are usually eaten for breakfast in the Philippines.

I make a Full English about once a month. We get all the "proper" ingredients - including blood sausage and Heinz Beanz - from this little English store either up in LA, or one a bit closer in Vista. It really is very good and definitely gives you a lot of energy!

I'm from Canada but my parents are from Somalia so a traditional breakfast at my house would be Anjero/Malawax and ootkac which essentially translates to pancakes with dried up beef in small pieces with tea on top. And a cup of tea on the side. Growing up however a lot of porridge was consumed as Canada is forever cold. Now it would be porridge, a traditional brekkie, whole wheat bread with peanut butter, honey and banana or if I'm in a rush some yoghurt with fruit and granola. Always with a cup of hot tea though.
@haaladarrlyn1223

And tea is always black tea made with a tea bag, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, cloves and sweetened with honey or sugar. Or a really spicy green tea.

For Malaysians, you could either go continental, or maybe go American, English, Japanese, Italian or simply go Malaysian again; and that is our traditional Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Soto, etc. As for me, all these breakfast choices come hand in hand once in a while but I would prefer vegan breakfast most of the time! :)

I hate when commenters say things like "This CAN'T be included in a fry-up." Always seem to me that they're the people that never experiment and try something new. That's what SORTED should be about - trying new things, experimenting with flavours; experiencing new food. If you don't like it, just stick to your bowl of Cheerios instead.

My persian ultimate breakfast is weird. It's feta cheese, walnuts, and grapes on a piece of barbari bread and tea. Just get a bunch of it and eat it in small chunks (with your own personal ratio). Otherwise it's just sunnyside eggs, greek yogurt, and raw onions. Also weird.

my favorite full breakfast is probably my mom's fritatta. she fries up a large pan full of potatoes with some onion and peppers mixed in. use a good amount of oil and butter so the potatoes don't stick. on the side cook up some bacon or sausage and cut it up and throw it in when the potatoes are nearly done. season it all well. then scramble some eggs with some sour cream and chives, season the eggs as well, and pour them on top of the potatoes and gently stir them occasionally. when the eggs are like half way done sprinkle a ton of cheese on top and cover on a low flame so the eggs dont burn on the bottom. serve with some toast. its the best thing youll ever eat in the morning.

We always used to have Bubble and Squeak for Boxing Day lunch, using the remains of the previous day's turkey and all the trimmings. Mash, roasties, parsnips, chipolatas, sprouts (after all, they are mini cabbages) and turkey meat, all topped off with a couple of crispy fried eggs. Everything except the eggs (they were cooked seperately) would be piled into an old cast iron frying pan with a big blob of lard (this WAS the 1970s after all) and fried until golden brown. Usually accompanied by generous splashes of brown and/or tomato sauce and bread and butter. And, as with Christmas lunch the day before, a generous serving in the dog's dish too.

I'm from the northeast USA. I typically eat a bowl of mixed fruit (usually defrosted frozen peaches, blackberries, strawberries and mango) with a couple spoonfuls of vanilla Greek yogurt, a drizzle of honey, and a tbsp. of granola while my kids get a simple cereal or stove cooked oatmeal. IF I cook anything (and it's usually closer to brunch time if I do ), its a couple of over easy eggs, stilly runny with hash browns, sauteed mushrooms and a couple strips of turkey bacon. Good eating! And maybe a couple pieces of wheat toast to sop up all that yolky goodness!

***** thats where your very wrong your body needs at least 20-29 games of fat a day as long as you maintain exercise you can have a cooked breakfast every day its about 500 to 800 cals depending on what you put on your plate. i say one of everything is enough 1 toast 1 egg 1 bacon 1 sausage half tin of beans or tomatoes hash brown. remember the brain need fat to survive all cereals are your real enemy FACT

I do love a full English. Only thing missing, that lives now only in my memories apparently, is the fried bread. When I was a student living in England, long ages ago, that was a key element of the breakfast. Not being a fan of blood pudding, but loving haggis, I do appreciate that particular modification in your version of the meal. Everything else looks awesome, as well. Thanks for the reminder of how good breakfast can be.

OMG, the awesomeness of Britain all in one plate! I wanna try that out some time! ^^ Anyways, I'm from the Philippines, and our breakfasts are literally diverse, since we practically serve anything edible as our morning meal. Rice, noodles, toast, fried egg, BACON, hotdogs, sardines, corned beef, dried fish, and usually a warm cup of coffee at the side! What's important is everyone's gathered around the table and enjoying the food with family and friends~ =3

In my family we usually leave breakfast up to my dad which means eggs and some form of meat. My favorite breakfast that he's taught me to make is an over medium egg with grilled cornbread and grilled meatloaf. Just grilling the bread and meatloaf on a flat pan brings it to a whole new level. Serve it up with pepper jelly and you have the best breakfast ever.

Full Irish is our breakfast in Ireland! Pretty much the same thing (sausages, rashers, black and white pudding, fried egg, toast or soda bread. And some added extras like hash browns, potato cakes, beans, tomatoes or mushrooms. On the go but still want the full Irish experience? Get it in a baguette! We call these breakfast rolls and you can put pretty much any combo of ingredients from the breakfast into a baguette.

It's similar to black pudding, which is a type of blood pudding, except with white pudding there is no blood added. General it's pork meat and fat, suet, bread and oatmeal.

i don't know about other regions, but in my saudi family breakfast is an assortment of small portions of: olives, feta cheese or labneh with olive oil, eggs scrambled or omlette (however you like it), tahini halwa, tomatoes, and honey or marmalade. they are all eaten with flat bread which is sometimes called libanese bread. your drink of choice can be arabic gahwa, dark coffee, or black tea.

I was back in Mexico this past May and most of our breakfasts consisted of either just coffee and some sweet bread or fresh tortillas, some oil, peppers, and garlic salsa, and baked beans. In a typical Mexican restaurant you would probably get some huevos rancheros (eggs with tomato salsa on them),or chilaquiles (fried tortilla dish) both with a side of beans and maybe rice.

Northern Germany: Bread rolls or toast with cream cheese and marmelade, chocolate-nut cream, or some people like the savory version with a variation of cold meat and sliced cheese. At the weekend most people like boiled eggs or scrambled eggs with bacon to the bread rolls, orange juice and a cup of tea or coffee or kakao. My fast version breakfast (when got up to late): cerials with bananamilk or porrige with bananas and cup of coffee, soo yummy too and very quick.

I'm American, and i think a typical American breakfast is similar to a full English except we usually have pancakes or toast and none of the veggies (beans, tomato and mushroom) and I think the beans, tomatos and mushroom is the the best part that distinguishes an American breakfast from an English breakfast.
