Cant stand it when cops say "just be honest with me, honestly will go a long way and help you" its always BS, its the cops way of getting a suspect to admit which makes the officers job super easy. Kero your mouth sbut and make them earn their big damn paycheck.
@deagle2yadome6964 ай бұрын
most time yes, absolutely, especially in todays world with body cams and everyone recording, but back in the day… especially involving narcotic officers, many officers simply can’t stand being lied to and i personally have been let go NUMEROUS times for “self incriminating” statements because i knew there was no point in lying back then. some officers, you pull that “I don’t answer questions” BS and it would make it worse
@DetectiveTrupo2034 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree with Deagle. A lot of cops will get you to incriminate yourself intentionally so they can arrest you, but there were multiple times where a cop had me dead to rights, and easily could have arrested me whether I said anything or not, but I was truthful and kept it real with them and they let me go scot-free. Officers get lied to all day every day, and sometimes they just want someone to take accountability and accept their fate.

Way to go officers !
@gunsgeargodandcountry66092 ай бұрын
Let me start by saying I am a former police officer and I fully support the police and all Law enforcement agencies when the officers are operating within the color of the law and with good intentions that are truly good individuals with integrity. I worked with a lot of good people that were in it for all the right reasons that truly wanted to make a difference and help people as cliché as that may sound. The flipside of that is I also worked with a few individuals that were just simply not good people themselves and used their authority negatively, and that is the problem that I can speak on from personal experience. There were 42 deputies in our department or division and they did amazing things to help people and they did not want recognition for it. They did it because it was the right thing to do and they truly wanted to help people. In many cases, they went above and beyond the scope of their job to improve peoples lives but you never heard about those interactions. Then there were four or five deputies that were on a power trip and did not care about how their actions would negatively affect other individuals for the rest of their lives and they treated people with utter disrespect and did not care about their rights. I say all that to say this you don’t hear about all the good interactions every day and the things that are done to help people you hear about those few bad interactions and that completely overshadows all the good that was done. The good officers trying to build the relationship with the public and create unity between law-enforcement and society in general is a delicate balancing act. There are countless individuals that seem to have a sole purpose of going out to intentionally create conflict with officers and law enforcement resulting in negative outcomes that sometimes become dangerous For everyone involved. I understand the purpose is to allegedly audit law-enforcement, most of the time, and ensure that the officers in question are acting accordingly and within the scope of the law and not violating peoples constitutional rights. However, there are many times quite a bit of collateral damage occurs from these interactions and good officers are put in situations that often result in devastating outcomes. There are good and bad people from all walks of life in every profession and job and you should be judged on your character as an individual human being. I treated every person I dealt with with respect and compassion, regardless of their past, and I will admit sometimes it was hard when you realize the crimes they committed or the actions they took against another human being, but You must try your best to not be judgmental or let your emotions get the best of you. The public in society will say to law-enforcement. It is your job and you chose to do it while that may be true. They are also still human beings and see and experience things that most people Could not even imagine and it sticks with you forever. In the event of horrific and devastating situations that constantly make headlines where there is an officer involved shooting and it is completely justified the media and society still will create division amongst the public and law enforcement even when it has been determined that it was clearly justified. Regardless it is sad that the perpetrator/suspect lost their life and you feel sympathy for their family and loved ones. What the media does not cover and society doesn’t even acknowledge is the fact that the officer who was involved and took someone’s life even though it was justified now has to live with that the rest of their lives and the effects that it has on their families and loved ones. The public and society will always have their opinions and views, but I can speak on personal experience and knowledge firsthand that no officer that I have ever worked with or known wants to be involved in any use of force especially a shooting or fatality. The burden of taking someone’s life can be unbearable and that is the story that’s not discussed. There are many officers that have taken their own lives because of the guilt they feel and it is a tragedy. The majority of the law-enforcement community Will wholeheartedly support their brothers and sisters in blue and put their lives on the line as long as they are doing the right thing and respecting peoples rights and I can assure you those same officers will not support The few bad corrupt individual officers with ill intent As they will defend the public against them and stand in unity to fight corruption at all cost because they have integrity and swore a oath to protect the people of the United States. I know I have rambled on in this comment but I want to point to a moment in this video at the time 8:32 the officers have the stolen vehicle and suspects are compliant those are the officers words as they have the male suspect laying face down they advise him. They believe he may be armed and if he makes a move for a gun, the officer states we will shoot you, and as the three officers approached the suspect, the officer on the left and the right have their weapons holstered, and the officer in the center approaches with his pistol drawn And neither of the other officers have any less lethal options then as they go to place the suspect in handcuffs the officer in the center has his pistol 8”-10” inches from the suspects head cars and the two other officers still do not have their cuffs out then they finally make contact and appear to have control however if that suspect would’ve even slightly began to resist it appears he may have been shot in the back of his head. I know that is just my assumption but based on the footage shown and the tactics used that could have been a very bad ending with a suspect dead and officers being indicted and on trial themselves. Again I know this is just my interpretation and opinion but that is a training issue of the tactics being used that needs to addressed. As a former police officer, I do have a little insight into these issues and I can say that especially in this day and age of technology with cameras everywhere it is so easy for society to judge and condemn an officers actions, especially in a life or death situation when They have seconds or fractions of a second to make a decision that can change the course of many peoples lives and then society can sit back with the media and in court rooms with prosecutors going through video frame by frame critiquing and judging the officers actions making it look like a eternity of time when in reality it happened in seconds or fractions of a second as I said, because they did not have the luxury of time to make life or death decisions. At the end of the day, it boils down to basic human decency and common sense if it is justified and they did the right thing then I support them but on the flipside if it’s a bad shooting or a bad use of force they should be prosecuted, judged, and sentenced accordingly. Anyways, this is just one man’s opinion, and I respect each and everyone of you and your opinions regardless of our differences we can have civilized discussions, whether we agree with one another or not that and that I hope gives humanity a chance at peace not only here but across the world. Much love and respect to all …
