Have the exact same tractor and the original exact same engine imploded a long time ago (broken connecting rod I think) and I replaced it. No mods of any kind. Just normal use, so it may not have been a direct result of anything you did (although it probably didn’t help lol). They seem to be notorious for this. Little tractor is just used for odd light duty tasks anymore (bought a zero turn but kept it) and it’s still running just fine. I do have some more aggressive ATV tires arriving soon to give it better traction.

I straight piped, bypassed the govern and I did a pulley swap on my mower and I just really hope I never blow a hole in the block because I don’t have the money to buy a new motor

I’m building one and putting a $50 Kohler v twin in I’m removing the 1 carb and replacing it with 2 smaller ones then routing the air filters to outside the hood

Check the value cover because if you can put another one in there the engine would be fine

2 things. You need to get a torque converter pulley for the drive shaft to make it easier to take off. And you should definitely use a speedometer app to test max speed of it.

I have watched some of your vtdeos videos there is nothing wrong with a Harbor freight welder I have watched some guys on KZbin do some great welding with harbor freight welder don't sell yourself short.what you welded in the diff looked pretty good!!

Just take and swap another engine on the mower and take the governor off and swap the pulleys again and you will be fine
