I can't get over the blush, illuminator and highlighter combo on you. It's so pretty- subtle in a way that looks so natural. I think you've managed to pull off a look that's reminiscent of J-beauty and K-beauty advertising where you wonder if the models even have makeup on or if their skin is just magical. I always thought that that kind of look would take ages to apply because of how controlled you'd have to be in application and evaluation as you went along, but it seemed pretty user-friendly. The mascara wand looks like it's curved at an angle I could use and get mascara on my lashes and not on my lid corners! The angle isn't too curved.

Such a beautiful look - natural and beautiful. I have both the liquid and powder foundation and love them both. The powder really surprised me because it does not look powdery on my mature dry skin. Yesterday, I ordered the Holiday Color palette from the Koh Gen Do site. The kit contains a nice smattering of the color products for me to check out. I can't wait to receive it. Thank you so much for doing a dedicated Koh Gen Do video. Everything looks stunning and flawless. I'm ordering the sheer lucent powder and another color and case powder foundation. The powder foundation is great to keep in your purse to touch up when you've been blowing your nose all day.

Your skin looks amazing! I never would have heard of this line without your review. You are making me rethink my foundation and powder. I love the fact that you don’t wear coats of heavy foundation and never bake. So your technique works for me. One more reason I love your channel. Also, I had to laugh. I don't usually like winged eyeliner because it always looks too heavy and forced and fake. Your eyeliner is on point in this video!!! It is beautiful! I am not kidding when I say this is literally the first winged eyeliner that I would want to try and recreate. Great review also! My experience with tubing mascara is that you get a one-time coat... which I really enjoy. Indeed they tend to separate and lengthen without heavy voluminizing. Removal is super easy and I love its daytime look. Great content; you looked stunning per usual.

What did you get? I sprang for the Maifanshi moisture foundation and the concealer palette several months ago, but returned the concealer palette because only one shade worked for me. I do really enjoy the foundation though. It doesn't settle into any lines. I'm really happy with it :)

Beautiful look and and enjoyable session to watch. I have two bottles of the old formula foundation, they go for $20-30 new on eBay so it will be awhile before I try the new formula. The Lucent powder seems to have a really obvious smoothing effect and is tempting. I will miss the discontinued Nadeshiko blush.

Wow! That illuminator suddenly gave you Marlene Dietrich cheekbones. Dear Michele, don't you think the foundation is a bit too dark? I use the same shade in Chanel as you, B20. But in Koh Gen Do, I use 002, sometimes mixed with 013. Your mentioning magic powder makes me remember a product that actually had that name - Magic Powder from Prescriptives. It was powder in the jar, powder on your brush, but on your face it liquified. It was lovely, actually. The first loose powder with glow.

Have u tried the Koh Gen Do moisture foundation it comes in a beautiful red tube- actually not sure if they still make it? I loved it but if I remember correctly it was pricy for the amount of product in the tube so didn’t repurchase but it was nice one of those nice skin but better looks. KGD makeup is a fave of mine. The cream foundation is great too,very moisturizing. Sometimes I mix the cream and aqua together. The highlighter is lovely. Yes KGD is cheaper in Japan! I haven't tried any Suqqu, except for one quad - it's expensive to try and get in the states, so I haven't bothered... yet.

How does the foundation compare with Chanel aqua and velvet? Wish you can do an update at the end of the day or a few hours later if the “magic” stayed. :) but it’s the first time I heard of the brand. I’m Also Asian so I can totally relate to your mascara wand comment! Haha

The magic definitely stayed and my skin looked even smoother as the day went on! It's really amazing stuff. The Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua has a more matte appearance. I would say the KGD has a closer appearance to the Les Beiges Healthy Glow, but not quite as glowy.

hi michele - how do you compare the loose powders to the La Mer and the CDP powders? For me, the LM powder has a slight edge over the CDP powder as its slightly less matte. Wondering where this would fit in...

I have the original LM powder, so I'm not sure about their current one. But to compare to that one the LM def has more radiance than the CDP. I would say the Face Powder is closer to CDP. It's pretty matte. But both the Natural and Sheer Lucent isn't quite as radiant as the older LM powder. It's less obvious. But I find the KGD powders to be more smoothing and skin perfecting, and definitely wears better!!

The powder has blurring effect but velvety yet satin at the same time. The eye shadow surprised me, the texture is very much like Japanses cosmetics especially the old Suqqu formula, remind me of Suqqu 05 Sakurakaba.
