Hindsight is 20/20 but the right move for him to make was to get out of that corner after eating that kick, reason he fell is it was un-protected and took his wind. He needed to circle and try to recover not go toe to toe against the fence.

MVP and Daniels were both sport karate champions and actually fought each other more than once. Daniels amazingly also received a black belt in TKD and won championships in that art as well.

This is an example of how point sparring precision and technique carries over to full contact. Point sparring tournaments are hard win because of the speed and there is some serious contact that takes place. Daniel's is really good at both. Great display of skill.

This is why you need to keep your feet planted for balance. Its was a brutal KO because he was on one foot (checking the kick that never came). That put him off balance which in turn made that punch a clear KO from R Daniels
