This may sound weird but the 757s flap sounds are really soothing. And the apu sounds are just so satisfying making this my favorite plane

@jeff Indeed, you're right. I took that same flight in October of 1991 when I went to Guide Dogs for the Blind to train and graduate with Tapestry, my second Guide Dog. I vividly remember hearing the movie "Robinhood" and the theme "Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams and getting a little choked up, because these Guide Dogs will do anything to save our lives from a drunk driver! One of my classmates lost her first dog to a drunk driver, and I was fortunate enough to have been thrown back to the sidewalk when Kiev, my first one, body slammed me back across two lanes of traffic to avoid a driver going 38 mph. That's what the police officer told me after we waited for the next light for the parallel traffic to surge forward, and we made it across. Kiev got tons of praise from me and the officer after that. That evening, I was telling my parents about the incident, and Kiev got all excited as if she understood what we were talking about, and I know she did. Boy do I miss having one now, but I had to take medical disability and don't get to go anywhere 4-6 days a week which is what's required to maintain a Dog Guide's training. I just had to share this.

love Delta's 757..flew redeye from Vegas to New York few years back...seat 42A...the view was great, it was wonderful watching the horizon and how we left the night time behind and flew into daytime in just a matter of minutes...as the east coast was already morning ...the 757 is by far my favorite...thank you for posting...

The width of the wing reminds me of the old 707, which the 757 replaced. I read that the reason why Boeing didn't upgrade the 707 (unlike what MD did with the DC-8 with new engines, stretched etc.) is because Boeing wanted airlines buying the new 757.

I used to fly Delta 757-200 and 300s via PHX-ATL or PHX-DTW. Super comfortable (first class and coach) ride - even through turbulence with smooth landings. I missed that aircraft immensely

The Boeing 757 in the 90,s is most popular in Canary Islands ( Monarch, Airtours, TUI, Ambassador, LTU,LTE anf others ) Used the engines Rolls Royce RB-211 and Pratt & Whitney PW-2057

Great view of Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) upon exiting runway. Boot Camp then right back there for seven years after MP and K 9 school. It would’ve been a much prettier view for everyone else watching if you sat port side but for my own selfish reasons, I’m glad you sat starboard.

I’ve always loved the 757’s in Delta’s fleet since I used to fly them all the time to St Thomas from Atlanta. Never lucky enough to catch the 300. Only the 757-200. Hopefully sometime soon. Thanks for the experience.

I wanted to suggest video idea that you can do that I feel are not that stressful for you and that is plane spotting (not just around the airport) record planes landing and taking off. Anyways if you can’t I understand, but I still love your channel!

I would love to do this. There are two problems though. First, I don’t live near any major airport. So I can’t just hop in my car and drive to an airport and spot. I’d have to stay all day just to get enough footage for one or two videos. And that would be the same day that I would use to fly, to get the footage that I post now. Second, is simply that I don’t have time. There are a lot of different types of videos that I would like to do, that I just don’t have time to do. I do everything for this channel in addition to my regular full-time job, and my family stuff. I simply don’t have time to do a lot of the cool things that I would like to do. Perhaps one day, if this channel continues to grow, it will get to a point where I can dedicate more time to it. But right now I just am not able to. It’s a great idea, and I would love to do it, I just don’t have the time to do it right now.

Well, there is a slight * next to this flight. This flight was taken during the height of the pandemic. Things have changed a lot since then. You can now get tea, coffee, soft drinks, and food for purchase on most domestic flights.

Haha @ why are you shouting. 😂. A big part of it is luck, and knowing which aircraft types seem to suffer from discolored plastic more than others. The entire Bombardier CRJ series is horrible. The plastic they use for the inner windows fades over time and becomes opaque. So, there’s a reason why you don’t see many CRJ flights on my channel. The Boeing 717 is also a victim of the same problem, however, Delta does seem to do a decent job of replacing them when they start to get bad. But, every airline has some problems with dirty windows. Delta is not immune. I recently took two flights on Delta where the windows were absolutely horrid. In fact, United Airlines is the only airline I have ever seen someone actually cleaning and scrubbing the windows while at the gate. I saw this happening in Honolulu, on a 777 that was sitting idle for like four hours. They actually had a scissor lift and someone was individually cleaning each window.

Why does Delta keep changing their flt numbers?

Airlines often change flight numbers, or rotate flight numbers. This allows them to reset statistics with the department of transportation. Airlines offer scheduled passenger service and if a certain flight is late a certain percentage of the time, the department of transportation can fine the airline for not departing on schedule. Issuing new flight numbers, or rotating flight numbers allows the statistics to be reset.
