You gotta love the static run ups they have to do at SNA for noise abatement. Have you ever flown a 757 or 767 out of there? Those RB211s and the buzzsaw. I love it. Hope you're doing well. I do indeed. I get notifications for every comment. This was a good flight! Sadly, I've only ever flown 737's in or out of SNA. I even flew into SNA all the way from Hawaii on a 737-700. I really should do that before the 757's are gone!

A friend's dad flew many years as a captain for United.. Santa Anna was one of a handful of airports that he truly despised.. A short runway. A constrained approach.. And an absolutely insane departure procedure requiring a steep climb out while simultaneously reducing power. He called it a disaster just waiting to happen.

I love the way the San Bernardino mountains stand up through the marine layer. I have been up near Mt. Wilson, above the marine layer on such a day - you feel as if you could just walk on it.

Of course. But, considering I do everything for this channel on my days off, in addition to having a regular full time job, it’s almost impossible to fit in any type of international trip. First, with a lot of countries having super strict Covid rules, you can’t even go some places. And second, to go through the hassle of testing multiple times, etc. I just don’t have enough time to late international trips worth my time right now. I have to bring in a lot of footage to keep up with 7 weekly uploads. If I spend 3 days flying international and back and end up with 2 flights, that’s not enough.

Great fly! I mentioned Spirit Airlines on your other video. They are now canceled more than 1,700 flights and this is their fifth consecutive day. It is a hot mess right now. This is due to series of meltdown including weather, technology outages, and staffing shortages.

The airport has a curfew that isn't listed until 7:00am. So, no aircraft can takeoff until 7:00am on the dot. There are a lot of flights that depart around 6:45am though. So, they all have to line up and wait for 7:00am to roll around. So, they have to park aircraft at the end of the runway on both sides to fit them all.

that's how it is in santa ana. one of the sharpest take offs in the united states. landing is weird too because the plane has to dive into orange county from the saddle back mountains to the south or the san bernardino mountains to the north. flying out tomorrow to chicago.
