I had a friend named Peggy who ran a shop where you could buy just about any kind of tea or coffee there was. She was Scottish, married to an American serviceman who was a POW in a German camp for a lot of WWII. She came with him to America in the early 50's. It was always great talking to her about things like the Great Depression, rationing during the war, and her early days in this country...she was very smart, and she certainly did speak her mind. About the McCarthy Red scare, she said, "Och, he [McCarthy] was a piece of work." The Beatles and their 'shaggy' hair: "Everyone here had convict haircuts--it was nice to see some young men with real hair for a change." And when the hippies came along, preaching their free love, dope, and revolution, she pointed out to them how *uniform* they seemed--all long hair, beads, tie-dyed shirts and psychedelic music. She would, she said, believe in their "free to be me" philosophy when she saw that they would freely accept someone who was, by their definition, a "square." (I thought that was a good point to make.) She passed away in the early 2000's...I sure miss her.

It was a dumping ground for trust fund kids who needed a babysitter to watch over them for a few years until the parents signed ownership of their business over to their little spoiled demon spawn. It was NOT the respected institution it is today. And reports have stated that professors at the time noticed that Trump's "intellectual curiosity" was severely lacking; basically, Trump was known to be one of the dumber kids at a school for dumb kids.

Here's my theory. Donald Trump is a case of arrested development. Just his lame attempt at "locker room talk" with Jeb Bush raised questions about his maturity. The childish way he kept repeating "I'm not the puppet, you're the puppet " like he's 5 years old should have given us a clue. It's why he sits like a frightened child. His excuses sound like the ones you get from your kids. His dad didn't make him grow up. When you start to see him as a 10 year old trying to act like a grown up it all starts to make sense.
