I'm so glad you're having such a love affair with public libraries. It's a super-underrated portion of our communities that I firmly believe needs a lot more people backing them. I've been an avid supporter of my local library system ever since I can remember and since I'm a creative person, I save a lot of money checking out tools in the form of books and other physical and streaming media that aid me in my creative endeavors. In addition to those, they provide programs and activities to engage the community. I highly suggest using your Interlibrary Loan if you'd like to read up or possibly research further topics of vlogs in different states. Libraries work really hard to be an excellent source of information, and hopefully, if more people see this vlog, they'll be more inclined to revisit them with a different perspective. Thanks for sharing. Also, those DVD shelves are giving me some serious Blockbuster vibes! Thanks for the stickers by the way. I got them months ago, and I'm keeping them close to the chest.

I have been hoping you would do a full video on the History Museum. My son and I used to go there often until we moved away in 2003. My favorite part was the tin can camping exhibit. One time we went there they were celebrating some kind of event and gave everyone a bowl of Mayfield ice-cream. I had thought that was the ice-cream that Ernest promoted, but no, that was Purity. Mayfield is good though. I also spent many hours in the downtown library doing genealogical research in the 1990's. Thanks so much for all you share! I also am enjoying more of your collaborations with Micah--you are truly kindred spirits!

Thank you for the interesting video. I sure wish that my local library had a treasure trove of Walt Disney World history like that. I could spend days in there! The book that you showed at 22:57 is "Prince Of The Magic Kingdom" by Joe Flower. I read that book when it first came out in 1991 and it is a fun read. It was written at a time when Michael Eisner and Frank Wells could do no wrong at The Walt Disney Company. So many younger Disney fans only know about Michael Eisner from his later years at Disney when he had to make decisions mostly based on what happened with Disneyland Paris. They know absolutely nothing about the time before Disneyland Paris opened when he basically was brought on board by Roy E. Disney in the 1980s to save the company from being torn apart. Recent fans unfairly (in my opinion) have nothing but bad things to say about Eisner and his time at Disney when they have absolutely no idea what the company was like and what it was going through during the Ron Miller/Card Walker years. They have absolutely no clue what was going on back then. They really need to do some research into Disney history before they bash Eisner as relentlessly as they do today. I hope that you read the book and that you learn more about Michael Eisner and what he did to help save The Walt Disney Company. The company would be very different today if he were not successful back then.

I love this comment . Thank you !
@Locoboy51502 жыл бұрын
@@TheDailyWoo You're welcome and if you get the chance, I'd love to hear your opinions on the book after you read it. I do not remember if it was "Prince Of The Magic Kingdom" or one of the other books about Disney history that I read around the early 1990s but one of them talked extensively about the relatively unknown friction between the Walt and Roy O. sides of the Disney family. There was definitely some really bad blood between the two sides of the family behind the scenes and it spilled out into Walt Disney Productions and how the company was being run after the Disney brothers had both passed away. It's very fascinating if you are into Disney history and it's a side of the company that almost never gets talked about. You'll never hear about the heated Disney inter-family dynamics at that time from anything officially put out by The Walt Disney Company today because the company massively sugar coats their history to the point where it's almost practically outright lying. As I said, I'm not sure if that Disney feud was mentioned in that book or another one. It might have been discussed in "Walt Disney: An American Original" by Bob Thomas. I read that book around the same time that I read Joe Flowers' book. The library at my college had both books and I read them both around the same time so I might have them mixed up.
