Thank god for the diesel engine in the uk, my XJ 351 Portfolio is one of the most economical cars I have ever owned, set the cruise at 75mph and it returns 52mpg, in a car the size of a barge that is incredible. If you need power hit the loud peddle and it flys, the kick down is stunnig and the handling is great for such a big car. For me it is the ideal option to the big german cars such as A8, S Class and 7 series, even looks better and not as common on the road.

I agree with you when it comes to the uncommon nature of this car. Even for my V8 petrol the mpg it gets is amazing

This car is on a whole different level, nothing can compare to this unless you're looking at Bentley, Rolls Royce or Pagani Zonda.

Man.. loved this car ever since 2011.. but just a question.. how was its reliability in terms of electronics and engine in 2019 after a year and half of ownership?

So far the reliability has been very good. I’ve put almost 20k miles on her over the 2 years. Only thing to go was the valve cover gasket and the alternator. There are other minor things that went that I will go over in a new video

Love the video. I’m seriously considering an XJ and this was great. I’d love to get a video of your driving impressions. Did you consider the supercharged V8? I drove a V6 and it was plenty fast though I think I’d prefer a 5.0.

Thank you! I would have love to have gotten the supercharged V8 but it just happened to be the non supercharged version that fell into my hands. 5.0 is what you want. I will be making more videos soon and that will be one of them.

Really like the pace and detail of your videos. Keep up the great work. FYI, the first year of the X351 model (at least in the US) was 2010, not 2011. Many websites don’t include the 2010 in their drop-down menus, but it exists.

Namaste bhāi! The backseats on the 2011 XJ do not recline but in the newer versions that have the back seat special features they do recline.
