As one of the last of the old Hollywood system, I am amazed at how she has maintained her realness, no pretentiousness from her, down to earth!!!! I just admire her, totally!! Would love to know her personally. What a marvelous Lady! Thak You Ms. Kim!!!

Wow ! This is one the BEST EVER interviews of Kim Novak. Congratulations to the journalist. Thank you for bringing up all of those dual characters that she played and that she is so good at. I would have liked to hear her take on Lylah Clare though. Too bad Robert Aldrich is not mentionned as opposed to Hith and Wilder. But, frankly, really, definitely one of the BEST interviews !!! Thank you.

Kim Novak was truly one of a kind. There will never be another Kim. Not with all the classless garbage you see in Hollywood today. I very much so appreciated her response about her survival in comparison to Marilyn Monroe. She stated that roots is very important to survive. Without roots/family you're lost trying to survive. Smart lady.

The smoke has destroyed her voice, and Hollywood dives life style has make the rest, but she continue to be a deep and lovely person, always ready to give a gift to all her interwievers, with such gently and semplicity like she has been always. A woman of real substance. Warmth and humility too, beautiful inside as well as out. I especially like what she said about valuing one's roots and family and that being one of the keys to her own longevity. I think she was exactly right - one of the tragedies of Marilyn Monroe's life was that she never really had any.

If her relatives survived the Holocaust in the Czech Republic, were they Nazis? I am not saying right or wrong but I am saying Hollywood, which had a reputation for being very jewish, many many times opted to make stars of people who in some way were associated with Nazis.
@arturodiaz10635 жыл бұрын
Without ex Nazis like Werner Von Braun there would be no U.S. space program. He was war booty and he handed himself over to the Americans before the Russians got him.
@sandrashevey82529 жыл бұрын
And I think it`s d+mn condescending of the interviewer to go on about people`s need for acceptance and love when antiSemitism is on the rise in many European countries that collaborated with the Nazis. I interviewed Novak in the Fifties just after she made `Vertigo`. I interviewed her again in the Seventies when she was making `White Buffalo`. On both occasions she failed to mention the Hitchcock film. It was at that time an embarrassment.
