This should have happened a long long time ago... one of the most underestimated and unappreciated stars of Hollywood...and she truly was one of the last big stars .

Kim Novak was my favourite actor since I saw her first in PICNIC, with William Holden as the hero.It was magical pair and truly created magic on the screen. How can one forget that great dance with William Holden .Later saw her in VERTIGO,another wonderful movie. She was beautiful and matched perfectly with the gentleman actor James Stewart, creating together an enjoyable and exciting movie. In the MIDDLE OF NIGHT,with yet another great actor Fredric March was a deglamourised role done excellently well by the lady.At 85 I cannot recall if I had watched her in any other movie.Wish her happiness and God Bless.

Her presence in a movie always made it worth watching...over & over again. Her role was too short in "The Eddy Duchin Story", but she made the most of it & it's HER role one remembers & not Victoria Shaw's. Great lady. Love her.

Respect Ms Novak for the way she walked away at the top and never reduced herself to cameos and bit parts or re living her life on talk shows as some of her peers. Novak is most acclaimed for Vertigo with great hits in Picnic, Bell Book And Candle, The Man In the Golden Arm. I suggest 3 films in the 60's that reflect her great talent: Of Human Bondage, Kiss Me Stupid and Moll Flanders. Most beautiful in Nortorious Landlady, funniest in Mirror Crack'd and most moving in Strangers When We Meet

Vertigo is my #1 favorite film. And Kim Novak is iconic in that film, a huge part of why that movie is so spectacular. So good to see her still with us and doing well.

She has always been a CLASSY movie star. Hollywood misused her. Strangers When We Meet and Vertigo and Bell,Book & Candle showed her class. The rest of the movies were stupid.

The Kim Novak /Robert Osborn interview just broadcast on TCM wa fascinating for Novak's candor and her observations regarding her co-stars and her career. However, she gave the impession that she left Hollywood in the 60s because she no longer felt protected by her studio and couldn't fight for better roles. A contributing factor was her bad choice of projects that were unsuccessful, including Billy Wilder's Kiss Me, Stupid, the remake of Of Human Bondage, The Legend Of Lylah Clare, and others.

Novak's manager compares her to Dietrich and Garbo? HILARIOUS, and sad at the same time. And she says 'you cannot manufacture a movie star'. Novak is the epitome of a 'manufactured' "star". Sheesh...

Lots of actors have long dry spells. I am sure there were lots of reasons at varying times. Personally, I loved the movie "Kiss Me, Stupid". I laughed my ass off but I just saw it a few days ago. Maybe it depends on when you saw it.
