45 yr old new Purple belt. I like all that extra drilling. We do warm ups 15 min, drill for 15min, & roll 30min. I also go to other gym open mats. I believe I would be further in my journey if we drill & rep that much. I also like that you're right on top of them. Great coaching!!

I used this coaching method when I was still in charge of the teenagers at my old gym. It's really great if you're feeling a bit sick and don't want to make contact with anybody. And everybody runs through it at the same pace, really good for beginners.

Yes for sure. This was the beginners class so sometimes we need to keep it nice and slow. And don’t overwhelm with details

I miss y’all. That TV 📺 position just opens up so much, adding the little detail of keeping the elbow off the ground is gold. Thanks BMac for another good breakdown!

Awesome. I dabbled with the kimura trap over the years, but after see Hunter use it so well during PGF S2, I’ve made it a more important part of my game. Love it now!

So what happens during Sakuraba night?

Hey brandon you got any thoughts on the importance of drilling since you were preaching reps at the beginning of this vid? maybe even drilling vs. rolling on open mat day? Maybe there is a podcast where you cover this I can look up? Thanks as usual brother.
@brandonmcninja3 жыл бұрын
I thinking drilling is really important. But I think it takes a long long long time to learn how to do it well. Nothing is more important than live rolling though
