Klipsch rp-6000f details
1" Horn-Loaded Tweeter: The Klipsch RP-6000F floorstanding loudspeaker features a 1" Titanium LTS Vented Tweeter with a Hybrid Tractrix Horn for exceptional high frequency response, detail, and dispersion. Klipsch proprietary Tractrix horn-loaded technology ensures high-frequency energy of the RP-6000F floorstanding speakers are aimed directly at the listener and reduces unwanted, artificial reverb caused by indirect sound bouncing off walls - meaning you experience the most clear, detailed, lifelike sound possible.
Titanium LTS Vented Tweeter: The titanium tweeter diaphragm's light weight yet rigid composition exceeds the performance of aluminum, polymer or silk tweeters. A vented tweeter design reduces standing waves behind the tweeter diaphragm for a smoother high frequency reproduction. Klipsch award-winning Linear Travel Suspension technology leverages a piston motion of the titanium diaphragm that lowers distortion and delivers real-to-life sound. A ceramic magnet housing provides premium performance,
Hybrid Tractrix Horn Technology: This redesigned 90°x90° Hybrid Tractrix Horn utilizes a circular horn throat paired to a square horn mouth to further improve high-frequency response and extension, while enhancing imaging and dynamics. The Hybrid Tractrix Horn's compressed molded silicon face adds high frequency damping to reduce harshness and horn resonance for a smoother frequency response with improved detail - creating a clean and natural sound. Klipsch also utilizes computer modeled phase plugs that act as a mechanical filter to further ensure a smooth, flat frequency response while protecting the tweeter from damage.
Dual 6.5" Cerametallic Woofers: The RP-6000F floorstanding loudspeaker utilizes two 6.5" Klipsch Proprietary Cerametallic woofers. Cerametallic consists of extremely light, rigid materials that can hold shape while being able to deliver lower frequencies with maximum efficiency. The Klipsch Cerametallic cone is matted to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity. The 6.5" woofers are housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that's secured to a large magnet motor for exceptional efficiency and low distortion.

I presume this means it was your HT room? Congratulations! Looks and probably sounds amazing! I have A few questions: 1. What was the height of your room? 2. What is the distance between front and rear atmos inceiling speakers? 3. How does the atmos system work in such a small room? Can you hear the difference between normal 7.2 and 7.2.4 set? 4. Have you tried to move the subwoofers to different locations for better bass or you are satisfied with what it sounds in current place? 5. Don't you have problems with room acoustics in such a small non- treated room? I am preparing myself for building an HT room which is 15x10x9 (L x W x H) and I was wondering if it is not too small for 5.2.4 system. But if it works for you in substantially smaller room, then I go all the way with my project :-)

I have a Sony receiver, and just upgraded all of my speakers to a Klipsch atmos setup, and did just that. Same speaker wire finally for all of the speakers, and banana plugs with pants on both ends. It just makes it so much cleaner and easier to work with. If you’re going to spend more than $5K just on your speakers, it’s the little detail things that make it that much better.

@wking8
@wking8 4 жыл бұрын
I always thought surround tweeters should should be 2 to 2 and 1/2 feet higher than your ear in your listening position? You don't want the sound hitting you directly. You want it to sound like it's coming across you.
@dalechalfont112
@dalechalfont112 4 жыл бұрын
Nope. Discrete sound is the entire purpose of a 5.1/7.1 setup. People prefer diffused sound for the rears because of the distraction while watching but tweeters should be as close to ear height as possible. That's why floowstanders are usually 1m tall. Ear height when seated.
@wking8
@wking8 4 жыл бұрын
@@dalechalfont112 Interesting. I'm reading the opposite everywhere saying you want the tweeters higher as to not be able to locate exactly where the sound is coming from and give all other listeners the ability to hear them without being blocked by the closest person. I have mine set up that way and I'll see my wife look around all the time when stuff is happening behind her because it's moving around us instead of at us.
@dalechalfont112
@dalechalfont112 4 жыл бұрын
@@wking8 the only time someone would recommend that is if they had multiple rows of cinema seats, large dense leather high back chairs that block sound far more than a persons heat ever could and especially block sound from the back and because the rows are spaced for leg comfort then there would be no primary listening position, basically a nightmare scenario for sound as regular cinemas are. Less than 1/00th of a percent of home theatres would be like that. Most people have a single row, 3-5 seats so even when all seats are occupied the centre, fronts, rears and ceiling speakers all point towards the primary listening area totally unobsctructed, and in this instance the ear level side surrounds simply sound even better to those in the closest seats. Speakers are not a laser pointer. Where the dot goes isn't where all the sound goes. Even the narrowest dispersion speakers sound amazing within a 30 degree arc, so even with ear level surrounds in the side plenty of sound is going into the room, a persons head in the side of you will make it less direct but not less direct than having the speakers a foot higher or more on the walls, especially if the speakers on the walls are just pointed into the room and not angled down. Speakers have an on axis and off axis response, the further away from being pointed at you the quiter they are. Speakers mounted above ear position are going to sound quieter than ear level side surrounds even with someone next to you. Take your centre speaker which for most people points straight into the room, probably at waist height on a cabinet, then put something under the front of it so it angles directly towards your ear height and the difference ia night and day. Putting speaker above ear height is even worse if your walls are closer because the angle from your ears to the speakers is steeper. If your walls are 4 feet away and you put them 1 foot above ear height pointing perpendicular from the wall straight into the room then they will sound probably 30% quieter and significantly less direct than at ear level. Having all speakers at war height means than 11 speakers in a 7.1.4 setup are aimed directly at you with maximum benefit when listening long and that 9 speakers are aimed directly at you with maximum benefit when having people either side of you in a single row and even then the side surrounds would sound better than habing all surrounds above ear height. It's eithet that or having all surrounds not aimed directly at you and not with maxium benefit 100% of the time. If diffuse sound and not directionality is your aim then skip 7.1 orr 7.1.4 sound and just get a 5.1 setup with dipole speakers for side surrounds slapped half way up the wall for the maximum cinema experience...literally that's what they do.

Question So my room look like the one in this video might be a touch wider though So my theater chair is right in the middle eye sight straight to the TV screen The set up I’m thinking of doing for the room but I like to know the high speakers should I do bi-po/do-po left and right high up to the corner of ea wall all the way around with 1 Height speakers in center high up front and 1 in the back as well So I want 3 Height speakers L/C/R near the wall touching close to the ceiling front and Back wall that way the whole ceiling sounds of Dolby Atmos my question is should I do all height speakers or mix them with the other speakers I just mentioned above. Also my L/R ear level speakers will be Bi or Di Po design there will be no Rear speakers behind me except the ceiling/wall ones The front stage is the easy part L/C/R The Receiver will be that new one from Emotiva 11.1 I want to use all the channels The subwoofer will be Klispch 16” overkill maybe lol I live in a house with hardwood floors through out all speakers will either be Emotiva or Klispch brand to save money Anyway the question is on the wall/ceiling Should I go 6 height speakers 3 front 3 rear? Or L/R surrounds bounce of the corners ea Walls keeping the height speakers in the middle Front wall and back wall? I hope you can understand what I’m saying lol Sorry if I spelled wrong

I gotta say I’m a bit addicted to watching your videos right now and I can see you guys do great installations. The one thing that I feel let’s the whole thing down is a lack of theater. The spaces are very bland with no sense of going to a mini cinema. I know it’s s subjective thing and not nearly as important as great visual and audio but it’s nice to have an exciting space to go with the movie.

I completely agree with you on that! I suppose it's the clientele he receives. I find it funny that the amount of money that these customers have and the size of their homes, they didn't choose a more suitable place to have this installed. Take this one for instance, who in their right mind would install a Christmas tree of a server rack on the same room wall that the customer would be viewing whatever on that screen? I would have expected a company as "professional" as they are to mention that to the client and at least have the cables run to the backside of the room (worst case scenario) so it then frees up the front not making it look like you installed it in a closet, and install 20K of equipment to say you have a "home theater". IMO, I wouldn't consider that a properly designed setup. 2 Subs for a room that size is ridiculous, but I guess they got more money out of them. The surround speakers are installed incredibly low.

@Winter Solstice I am not sure what you mean by "problems". The point of the original commenter and myself is more concerned with getting flat frequence response across the spectrum and reverb time that makes our music and movies sound as close to the way the studio engineers intended. That is not going to happen in the room in the video above or in a room with a too small dimensions for its subwoofers low end response.

Replace the tower speakers for bookshelf speakers on stands would be the first thing.. as they'll be ample bass especially with the 2 subs. the subs likely would sound better if there was one at the front and another at the rear. or 2x 10 inch subs instead of the 12 inch ones..

Hello, I have been watching your videos for a long time, always very good information. I hope you can help me, other channels do not respond but I see that you do whan you can. I have a small dedicated room that is 8.2 ft x 15.4 (126 sq ft) I sit 6.8 feet from the center channel, since I have the sofa 3.2 feet from the back wall and the speakers and TV are 5.1 feet further from the front wall (due to ceiling issues). For my space, would it be better to buy the "Klipsch rp-5000f" headlamps or the "rp-6000f" headlamps? So that the center does not look gigantic I am thinking of an rp-500c and surrounds rp-500m. I know they are a good match with the rp-5000f, but could I put the rp-6000f in my small room, and would they match the 500 series? (I would like more to be able to opt for the rp-6000rp, but if it is not a good idea for space, I would not do it, or because they would not match the 500 series). I hope you can help me please, thank you!

I have a sony sound bar 3.1 system. I want to upgrade it into a 7.1 system. Please guide me what harware I need. I think, I have to add 4 satellite speakers along with a 4 channel class d amplifier along with HDMI/SPDIF to 7.1 channel decoder. Is it possible to do that setup?

Its not that hard mate not these days. The receiver does most of the hard work for you. Do some research on speaker placement sub ect a room that size does not need that set up or that amount spending on speakers total waste. If I want something doing rite I do it myself and I also enjoy doing the research and setting it up it's not that hard.

My basement is 25 feet x 10 feet x 10 feet. How should I place my short screen projector ? I am thinking on the10 feet wall so that I have seating at about 16 feet from the screen. I have 150 inches screen planned. I am planning for a dry bar on the opposite side of the room. Any inputs will be really helpful.

How are you extending those speaker lines? Do you solder old cable to new cable? Does it make much difference if the 2 cables are different cables?

solder makes for a trouble free installation and is good idea to keep gauges the same. if the wire is longer than 18 feet it does make a difference

I like seeing these because most people don’t have HUGE perfect rectangular rooms for a movie theater setup. And it still works!! Goes to show you can setup in most situations. Cool video! 👍 Edit: Also Zack (hope I spelled right?!?) What do you think of Klipsch sound bars? I don’t own but would love an easier setup and a sound bar would work wonders!

Why didn’t you use banana plugs it’s easier and you don’t have to worry about speaker wire deterioration at the connection also why not change the wiring out to pure copper wire better sound less interference since your over pricing that system even though 3/4 of the price is installation I have pretty much the exact same set up for my up stairs sound room
@Dreamediaav
@Dreamediaav 4 жыл бұрын
from a business standpoint, customers sometimes bump and move the unit and banana plugs can back out. We get called saying their speakers arent working.... Its an easy step that we just mitigate by using firm solid connections.
