It’s an awesome bike! I can’t wait to have some more time to get back to working on it! I’m planning to instead of uploading tiny sections at a time just finish the bike quick and upload a full video of the restoration/assembly. Good luck with yours and let me know if you need help with anything specific!

This is a great video, and the lift looks like it functions great. One thing I would recommend changing is the location of the pin, to not be under the table. I would recommend putting a lock bar at the edge on both sides.
@volimoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment, glad you like it! - You’re onto something! I thought about making it auto-lock and having a cable driven unlock mechanism, so there’s no safety risk being under it. I also have looked into maybe upgrading it with a foot operated hydraulic cylinder. But for now I’m really mostly using it in it’s locked position, so that only comes later.😊
@mikehall5280 Жыл бұрын
@@volimoto cable actuated lock would work great.

What pin do you refer to and why not put it under the table?
@volimoto Жыл бұрын
The reason it’d be best to avoid it being under the table is the risk of something going wrong while you still have your arm under. - You could probably use a simple bolt, something a bit stronger, maybe 10.9 or 12.9 but I actually found this perfect safety pin that was rated specifically for this kind of application.🏍

This is awesome, I’ve been wanting to make a custom table for a while using aluminum wheelchair ramps for the table. Now I have an idea for the superstructure. Thank you. The other thing I would consider is some small wheels on one side so when not in use, you can tip on side and move about.

What is the purpose of the different widths where the trolley lift goes? Also why is the upper assembly have two pieces welded together? BTW great build! I have subscribed!
@volimoto11 ай бұрын
Hi! Since the jack is wider in the back I made the 2 different widths so it can guide it to go straight. It’s not necessarily needed, but I think it helps. To upper assembly for me is made of 2 only because I already had some metal frame and wanted to use it to save on some materials. Thanks a lot!👌🏻

Very Nice Build. Just what I've been looking for. Nice clear plans. Just one query though, can you clarify if the 18 x 12 mm round tube is correct? The plans show it as 12 but from the video I'm guessing it should be 1.2mm. Please confirm.
@volimoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! The tube is ø18mm outer diameter and ø12mm inner diameter to be used as bushing for the bolts. It might be overkill, because you could probably get away with just having the holes drilled into the square tubing, but I thought why not make it a bit stronger and give it a larger surface for the rotational points. Hope this clears it up, otherwise feel free to ask. Have a good one!

Awesome thanks. I’ve been looking for such a video and plan for some time. By the way what is the “thickness” of the square tubes? 3mm or more?
@volimoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for your kind comment! -I’ve used 3mm thick square tubes most places, except for the bottom which is 4mm. But I think it’s overkill, I would have used 3mm there as well if I didn’t already have the 40x40s which were 4mm thick. 🏍

what's the material of the deck?
@volimoto Жыл бұрын
I’m unfortunately not entirely sure what it’s called in English. It’s a layer glued and pressed wooden material used for car trailer decking. It also has an oil resistant surface and it’s really sturdy. Hope this help.☺️🏍
