They both did a great job in this match, and at MSG no less. I can tell they both liked working with each other. Punk might’ve had a little bit of ring rust after a few months away, but other than that, I liked this. I espeically appreciate how even though Dom Dom didn’t win, he still showed how much he improved over the past year, and how he’s gonna be a great star in the next few years, if he keeps this up.

True. It might something Punk wanted as well. He’s known Rey for over 20+ years and Rey was one of the first people Punk was seen with after his last time out in AEW. Plus it’s been 21-22 years since Punk had a triple threat match with both Rey and Eddie Guerrero. This might’ve been to shake the ring rust as well as a bit of nostalgia wrestling the son of Rey and who is also tribute to Eddie. Also it speaks volume about how trusted Dom is to have been born Randy’s and Punk’s return first opponent.

Yes and way more children than I ever see in an AEW audience. In this economy adults will watch it on TV unless it's a family event like PG/WWE. To see Dom at Wrestlemania in Tampa live and then to see him in P.R. live and then this is pretty inspiring for the younger generation to also be humble. Its like the complete opposite of Jungle Boy and his issues. I was one of Doms biggest critics and to see how far he's come shows what hard work and dedication will get you. They performed exactly how it should be: first match for CM Punk in WWE after 10 years, not squash, not 40+ minutes epic match, just 13 minutes good match with reversals and interactions with crowd and Rhea.
