Occlusal reduction should be as uniform as possible, following the cuspal planes of the teeth; this ensures that 1- sufficient occlusal clearance is combined with 2- preservation of as much tooth structure as possible and 3-provide rigidity to the crown *

thanks for the video~~ I'm a dental student. This video is very helpful. May I ask you a question? Why DB cusp is reduced like dome(no inclines)?

thanks for the video! I have a problem with staying parallel while preparing my finish line. Is there any reference point or orientation in which I can make sure that I'm preparing parallel to the tooth?

As mentioned in this video, watch the top surface of the head of the high speed handpiece. It has to be parallel to the occlusal surface. Also, use longer burs. It's difficult to go wrong in parallelism when the bur is straight.

You can use the upper flat part of high-speed handpiece and try to keep it parallel to the occlusal plane. Alternatively, use longer burs and fewer chances of deviation in parallelism. Hope this helps.
