Brian & Buck having to talk about the Padres hitting nukes is gold. I only wish Musgrove pitched the gem.

1) Flaherty was brought up the Cardinal way, he’s old school. Of course he hit him on purpose. 2) EVERYONE loved it when Jrod did the same thing to Tatis. 3) I’ve been to games where Manny tosses the warmup ball into the dugout every inning. The other team does the same thing. 4) From the fan videos, fans threw 3 balls onto the field. 5) Padres, like MANY other teams, play with a chip on their shoulder. Get over it.

It wasn’t just the fan that Profar gave the ball too that threw the ball back. Someone else threw a ball at Profar and then fans in left field threw trash at Tatis.

@@pjscafesomeone sounds insecure. Does wanting to throw a ball at someone make you feel big and strong?

Jrod is a likeable guy. Profar is a known crybaby

He could have walked Tatis if he didn't want to give him anything to hit.

As a pitcher, you HAVE to throw inside as part of your arsenal! I feel that the Padres closer, Suarez, needs to throw his 100mph 4-seamer inside more! If you happen to hit the guy, it’s not intentional. But we never see it that way.

Let me first say im pulling for the Padres for financial reasons. Also along the way i have grown to really admire and like this team. They are a gritty, scrappy and confident team. My whole thing is without Musgrove im concerned only because i feel they need to win both games at Petco. I do think its possible but obviously it won't be easy against the dodgers but its not out of the realm of possibility. The reason i think its imperative for them to win in 4 is not because game 5 is in LA. I don't care about that at all. The Padres were a great road team all year long. I mean they were good on the road the first half of the season when they were still struggling at home. This is prior to them becoming a complete team after the all star break. My concern is game 5 would be Cease pitching again. I don't trust that guy. All season long i been betting the Padres. Not every day but in certain spots i would. The only negative results ive had besides when Waldron would pitch is when cease would go. It just happened again in game 1 and that was after he got spotted 3 runs in the first. Im not sure whats up with that guy but in my opinion he is hit or miss. He is super inconsistent and you may get a no hitter or he may get thrashed and give up 5. Thats not what they need. To me it looks like this team is one starter away from being hands down the best team in the league. Man I think Musgrove would have really helped the rest of the way. But this is what they have now and they must make due. Hopefully they can take advantage being in Petco the next couple games.
