Im a loctician and Ive had one client that had very long locs. She ended up getting lice in her locs doing a home visit for her job. She had to cut her locs and came to my salon to get them started again. I also got a call from a friend stating a little five year old had lice and wanted to know how to get rid of them because they were having trouble ridding her from them. She also had to cut her locs.

What method was used when starting your locs? Ive interlock mines with a hair type of 4b or a (tightly coiled). All because I work out a lot . Any advice if you did . I’m six months in and is it safe to go 3months without retwist since I’m just beginning? Ik some say to go 6 to 8 wks to cultivate them and get them in the right direction I guess? Thanks in advance!

Do you experience any mildew smell when going to bed with with wet locs and are you worried about mold at all?
@ElizabethRosette5 жыл бұрын
Malena T no, not yet at least. Most times I dry them. But when I don’t dry them with a dryer I let it air dry so my hair isn’t as wet by the time I go to bed. They are a little damp. No, not worried about mildew. I’m sure the longer they get, the need to fully dry will be more important!

Like your videos. But, I have to say it, I've haven't heard of black folks esp with 4 type hair with lice in their hair. We need to cancel these negative thoughts with locs esps with lice in our locs, it's too much info out here now too dispel, teach people how to take care of their locs. Your locs are beautiful! :-)
@ElizabethRosette5 жыл бұрын
I am black and i had lice in middle school, so has some of my siblings! i dont believe any of my videos about my locs shines light on negativity, more like possibility...i think alot of people forget that these are my opinions and does not apply to everyone. My channel is for people who value my opinion and personalty. As a vlogger, I share my thoughts and fears, amongst many other things. I Aslo share why i choose the products i do. I teach people how I care for my locs and Im honest about every part of it. Locing my hair was the best thing i ever done, i express that as well and im sure my friends here on YT knows that. Thanks for you comment.
