My box stock 74" '72 FLH has started without fail and run 70mph all day long, problem free, since I bought it used in 1980. People pass up the high dollar machines to look at and take pictures of it too. To each his own, I guess.

And what did you do to stop the crank case pressure or did you you just inject the overburden oil into to cylinders through the air system like normal, destroying the engine in the process. Also it’s Ohlins not Oleans
@MoonshineHarley
@MoonshineHarley 3 жыл бұрын
Let start with your ridiculous crank case pressure comment. If you have good ring seal you don’t have to worry about excessive crank case pressure. This build has a set of custom CP Carrillo pistons paired with a set of total seal rings. We have finish honed each cylinder with torque plates to fit the piston that will be run in it. You probably don’t know who total seal is but I’m sure you can google it. “Overburden oil into the cylinders” ??? I’m not sure how your setups run but it is very minimal when you have good ring seal. Now your “ destroying the engine in the process” comment it’s ignorant. So now oil destroys engines? That’s a new one. Oil lubricates and extracts heat from the engine. A minute amount of oil mist gets sprayed into the intake which lubricates and can even help reduce heat in the cylinder a fraction. Almost every manufacture designs their engines this way. But in your book that equals total destruction. Also does it really matter how we pronounce Ohlins?
