You can use r40 heads on A blocks as well. I think that is better packaging for turbo than a 4 runner manifold

This turbo is just excellent all around for 1.8-2.0L DOHC engines. Seen it in several cars. 400HP all day.

Thanks ! I'm looking forward to see the in install in the crz. That was an amazing project, I've seen the whole series, I was wondering what happened with the crz. No enough crz builds. Even speed academy never built a crz, that's a shame for honda guys. If only I had a garage, I would start a channel called The trim that never existed. The first project would definitely be a honda crz type r. championships white, maybe independent rear suspension and tune the roll center properly. anyways I very happy to see that happening soon, thank you so much

My CRZ is getting a k24z7 swap soon and im exploring turbo possibilities, I'd love to see an update on this. I was thinking of making a custom "sidewinder" style manifold, but if that fits and works great I'd be very interested in that adapter.

I had a full race kit on my 05 ep3 type r with cosworth internals and a sidewinder manifold with battery relocated to the boot, I’m in Scotland. This was 2013 and I was 21, it made 468 bhp on pump fuel at 14psi of boost, basically wastegate pressure. It had two external waste gates and a screamer pipe coming out the passenger side front wing. Still the fastest feeling car I’ve owned. Had 520 bhp Hawkeye 06 Impreza STI. Couldn’t come close to it speed wise, although it was nice to have traction instead of still spinning the wheels at 110 in 6th gear 😂 mines was a twinscroll efr, sure it was the first full borg Warner turbo sets in Scotland at the time, definitely in a Honda!

EFR6258 It's a 44lbs/min turbo. That will be maxing out at 440hp at the crank. I certainty got schooled lol

Maybe you should learn that 1 lb/min to 10 hp is a very generalized estimation and not a law of physics.

No one is making 600hp with a 6258. 🤨 A 7163 would have been a better choice.

I tried to fit a log type manifold turbo in my k24 swapped CRZ and was unable to do so because the space behind is not enough. Similar happened to my k24 Fit. 1st reason: the flange you are trying, i think there won't be space behind. I tried it trust me. Here i made a video about it too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIKvaHqAlNBkoLM the discussion of log type manifold starts at 8:08. The only place for turbo behind engine in a CRZ/Fit is at junction where engine and tranny meet but there is rear engine mount there. Also the downpipe will hit the ELectronic pwer pump assemebly. May be its due to fact both are RHD. In LHD the EPS pump is on left side so downpipe won't be problem but still no space behind. Fingers croosed to how you do it.

I had a log type manifold on my 01 Civic ES2 with K swap. We tried a K20A with RDX turbo (basically a log type) in the CRZ and there was room. I think we’ll be ok.

@@VTECAcademy Yeah there is room for turbo but the downpipe is issue. especially in a Right hand drive cars who have electronic Power steering assembly there. Lets see how you tackle the downpipe.
