Luka also can't get assists if his mates are well covered when he would want to pass to them. "Luka is more capable of scoring on any of these guys". Legler sir.. More like, Boston guarded him with DISCIPLINE. Luka got a quite 30, he played bad the 1st half, he didn't get going until later in the 3rd. They didn't bite into his baits, like his pump fakes to initiate contacts, he also didn't get to get to the line as much as he usually do either. Boston also didn't give him any room for him to do his lil stepbacks, like he always do. Luka just gotta get more moves in his bag. I've been saying that, Jaylen Brown can guard Luka on his own COMFORTABLY. And he did just that. Even Holiday did good on Luka. Dallas are going to need more than just Ky and Luka. If their role players don't step up. Then there is no way, they can beat Boston.

Without Boston Center Porzingis, the Celtics still dominated the playoffs with unselfish offensive play and great team defense. With Porzingis, I predict Boston in 5. But a sweep is possible!

Adding KP and Jrue this offseason was massive. But I think adding some veteran coaches to the team was a huge addition. Joe is coaching so much better this season!

They beat the brakes off them boys. Kyrie better start them shaman rituals and hope his rain dances get them at least a win. Pj Washington played like he saw Brittany Renner front row. Derrick Jones was who we thought he was. Derek lively getting cooked by a one leg Porzingus.

Can you imagine if PP and Sam get going. Have mercy on the Mavs soul. Sam looked good this game and PP defense has gotten so much better this year.

I feel like that wasn’t the greatest advice that Jason Kidd gave his team. “It’s only game one, it’s a series remember that.” The Celtics were playing like it was game seven and you should play every playoff/ finals game like it’s the last game of the season.

Too much downtime for the players before the finals began. Players get out of rhythm and rust sets in. All that time off hurt Dallas. Same thing happened in the mlb last season too.

Hardy is 21 years old and just took Jrue Holiday to the woodshed the last 6 minutes of the game. Fortunately for you Kidd still has not figured out Hardy is their 3rd best player.

Won the 3rd? Well, one point, so I technically. But giving up 11 unanswered after getting it to 8 was not a win. And the 4th was over early. Dallas bench guys came in and scored with little touch resistance the last 2-3 min. So those 2 extra points weren't a win.

Game was a vivid reminder of how good the Celtics can be with the healthy starting five. Adding Holiday and Porzingis to a team that was already a contender - they can all shoot, and everyone is a good defender. Mazzulla’s coaching shouldn’t be underestimated. With the talent laden epic fails in recent years, e.g., Nets & so far Suns, it’s obvious that talent alone is not enough. This Celtics talent has gelled into an historically great team. I hope the Mavs can find answers to make this a competitive series. Kyrie should be better for sure, and help defense should improve with a game behind them.

I saw this one coming, a lot of nerves came into play here for the Mavs, only controlled tempo in the third. They’ll be back next game.
