As a Celtics fan, the strength that Boston has is that we've been building this team concept for 5+ years. Back to the Danny Ainge era, the Celtics prioritized getting long, defensive-minded players that could switch multiple spots defensively. Stevens has largely entered the Front Office and simply doubled-down on the same concept (as opposed to a lot of new GM's who want to change everything to put their own 'stamp' on it). I think a lot of people pass over how incredibly beneficial this continuity was for Boston. Instead of trying to do things differently, Stevens got rid of some pieces that didn't fit and got some upgrades (Jrue, Porzingis, etc) that doubled down on the five-out offense that worked so well for Mazzulla. So this is a team that's really been in the making for years and has signed/drafted accordingly. Continuity is a huge part of success. The Patriots were great not just because of the Brady-Belichick combo, but because they had so much continuity with Belichick designing and running his team for two decades. The GSW were successful because they maintained the same core and head coach for so long (and Kerr plays a bit role in who the GSW acquire as well). Ainge did the best thing possible when he stepped down...passing the reins to his HC who shared his vision of what the team should be.

Kenny’s point about C’s 3 4 5 & 6 option making it hard for other teams 3 4 & 5 option to get mins is an excellent point and the reason why the Cs are the best team in the league talent-wise right now. Brad Steven’s obviously did an amazing job. Jaylen and Jason still doing a great job of leading this team.

I have Dallas in 6 cause Luka and Kyrie is clutch and the best closer. But if Kyrie and the rest of the Mavs will not show up, then its a wrap in 4. I forgot this is a team game. I only consider that Tatum and Brown might fold when the game is closed and everybody is playing great. I forgot that the stage may not be brighter for Luka and Kyrie but for others, they are not yet ready at this level. While Boston been there in 2022. They have unfinished business.

Agreed! This is Boston's year in my opinion. With Kristaps P. on the floor, is a different level Dallas has to content with. He's a more seasoned Victor Wembayama in my opinion. Pretty much just as tall! And talented. Dallas we'll make it a series no doubt.
