Boys: I sure know about that "one wire," I Had that happen on a 77 AMC Hornet wagon. Tried for a week, figurin it out, then suddenly I remembered disconnecting this one small, black wire. As soon as I reconnected it, POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Slow and steady, really IS the best method, for figuring things out. Great Job!!!!!

Lance and Wyatt loved your stuff for awhile now. Was curious when the whole Turnin Rust troubles happen??. Thought oh! no lost a good car channel? Was real happy you didn't give up. Well done. I was excited with your Restored stuff too, this truck and the 2 part vids was gr8 first time round. Just watched now again as one vid under Turnin Rust with young Christian on board she's great. But those rat droppings didn't get any better second time round?. Turnin Rust or Restored either i-ther love you guys. Good to see Wyatt's sense of humour (in the forest when you where trying to start up the truck. It was funny). You guys let a lot of old ex car guys live vicariously thru your vids and adventures blizzen good on you. Cheers! hope for many more vids. All the best. good fortune

I learned many years ago that many Body Dents in a vehicle can be pushed out by using different size Intertubes being placed in the small areas behind then. On that door I would use either an old car Intertube or a Motorcyce Intertube. You can also use the very small Intertubes used in the small tired for Wheelcarrels and even the small wagon wheels. I am a Missouri Walnut Tree Mechanic originally from the early 1940's working with my oldest Brother and he taught me many different ways to improvise. I am now 85 years old and tried to hire several Shops to put my rear axel under my 1901 Curved Dash Oldsmobile Reproduction any 12 year old kid could have done and none wanted to attempt it because of no manuals. I used my 1951 Studebaker Truck starter in Reverce Key off and used it as a wench to pull the axel against the soping to line it up Just This morning at 02:30 A. M. and unlike people today, My clock is still a 24 Hour Clock not a eight hour Clock with four smoke brakes and a thirty minute lunch break. Today most so called men are not worth the Manure flushed down a stiil.

I like the way you guys assess things. Trying to cut as few trees as possible. You know how important they are in hot areas. The trees cool down the region and hold water in the soil. I hope you use that lumber well in good time barbecues instead of coal.

Regard the timing but rotate the distributor clockwise. The higher the compressor the advance dwell timing can fire the explosive. The lower compression then it fire slow and late because high compression and spark fires then it will combustion better.

I learned something long time ago. Some times a Motor will not start because of a very lite spatk. You can Prime and Prime through the Carb, and still not fire. Take the # 1 & 2 Plugs out and fill with starting fluis and put the plugs back in as fast as poaaible and then try starting it and it will usually fire. I had to do that last night on my Studebaker. I changed Coil and everything. Once she started It was OK .

The carburetor is off and very dirt inside the barrel of carb. The valve is stuck but maybe not try to have your hammering against the valve retainer and valve spring so when tap it then you can tell if the valves are in working order.

Almost without exception gm distributors chev, Pontiac buick all used a cap that allowed access to the points so they could be adjusted from out side the cap and that carried through all the engines until the went to electronic ignition. Great idea, with a dwell meter you could adjust while running just had to be insulated allen driver or ya get lit up!!!
